Your Money: Feast or Famine

July 10, 2017

A few months of very sparse sales motivated a former client to once again join one of my mastermind teams to jumpstart his business.

In the last two months, his commission-based income increased dramatically. During a 1:1 session, he outlined every deal he’s closing this summer, totaling over $60,000.

He made a budget before we talked. “The money I’m making will carry me to the end of the year. With it I’ll pay my bills and taxes, buy a new vehicle that I need for my job, set money aside for savings and an emergency fund and get me out of worry.”

Choosing to be fiscally responsible, he felt he could only plan for what he knows for sure that he’ll have.

There were a couple of big telltale signs that he was setting himself up to go from feast to famine.

First, he reminded me of a bear getting ready for hibernation. The way he talked, it was as if his business would go into a long sleep following the roll he’s now on.

What you see is what you get.

With his vision only focused on generating sales from his current pipeline, his business would only generate sales from his current pipeline. There was no mention of any future business.

Because of his past business scarcity, he was trying to protect himself from another financial shortage. In the process, though, he energetically designed plans for impending famine.

Second, an essential key to manifesting is feeling good first, not waiting until outer circumstances change before you feel good! Like attracts like. Worry does not attract experiences that leave you feeling good.

When we look around at circumstances that suck, it feels natural to complain, whine, get frustrated and angry. But that approach does NOT get us what we want.

I know because I’ve invested much of my life into this strategy. I’ve watched others try to improve their lives by talking about how bad things are.

Things only got worse.

This really is just a habit that digs a deeper hole of misery. It does not create success or financial flow.

Whatever you focus on grows. You’ll feel better focusing on what you choose, not on what you don’t like. (Unless you do that silly “yes BUT” routine of moaning because you’re not there yet… that’s not focusing on what you choose.)

He asked, “How can I know if more money will come if I can’t see it?”

Consider this. Life has a natural flow, and there’s an assumption it will continue without worrying about it.

You trust the sun rises and sets, even if you can’t see it because there are clouds in the sky.

We know, as Jim Morrison said, “No one here gets out alive.” Eventually your heart will stop beating.

Until that time comes, your heart continues to beat. There are steps to take for heart health. Do those. However, there’s no sense living your entire life as if your heart will stop in a few months.

Air is essential to breathe. If there are air issues, address those. However, there’s no sense living your entire life as if you won’t have air to breathe in a few months.

Life has its own flow.

Money has a flow, too.

My client got it. He said, “the beauty is its simplicity. In the past, my thinking about worry created limit.”

He saw how he could trust that the flow will continue in his finances just as the flow in nature continues… unless he stops it by worry.

“It’s insane to be whining, fretting and complaining. Instead, let abundance expand instead of raining on it with negativity.”

He decided “it makes more sense to have clarity, focus and appreciation.”

Allow yourself to trust that you can tap into a money flow. Focus on this flow, not that your money will get divided into little pieces leaving you with nothing.

You are powerful!! Making a choice to be in financial flow, without diluting your energy through worry and negative emotions, can make it so.

If you’re experiencing financial famine, change your focus by looking for natural flows of life.

Connect the dots. If the whole universe runs on flows, you can tap into the flow of financial abundance.

Focus on what you choose.

In the words of Star Trek’s Mr. Spock, “Live long and prosper!”

TIP: Ignite Your Passion

November 1, 2016

img_4005

What turns you on?

Do you dutifully go through day-to-day living?

Are you simply trying to make the best of your lot in life or do you complain about it and others?

Or do you know that, if you allow yourself to redirect your focus, your life can be sensational?

A few minutes ago, I returned from a tango performance by an Argentinian dance company.

The audience was wild with excitement.

The precision talent of the dancers, singers and musicians was inspiring.

However, unlike most everyone who watched, it didn’t ignite my passion.

If you’ve read my TIPS lately, you know I’ve attended several performances that sent me soaring.

The common denominator is that each uplifted me. Coupled with extraordinary talent, I walked away smiling a big YES to life.

Here’s what I noticed doesn’t turn me on.

Watching a drunk destroy his life and lose his disheartened woman after causing her misery.

Forcing a woman to be with him against her will – even dragging her.

Rivalry, jealousy and an uncaring spirit.

People being mean and cold to each other.

Violent knife fights.

Yes, this is art, and, of course, there’s freedom of expression.

Perhaps this was all to make a point to demonstrate consequences.

Yes, worse exists in this world.

Personally, I don’t find watching these uplifting or life-affirming.

The energy we fill ourselves with – drama or joy or fear – is what we’ll find mirrored in daily life, too.

I’ve learned a secret.  It’s why some succeed and others struggle.

The secret is found in what you focus on and how it makes you feel.

If you focus on misery and what makes you feel bad, you attract misery in your life.

Focusing on what makes you feel good brings you more things that make you feel good.

A friend told me that she’s turning into her mother – complaining.

The result? My friend felt depressed and hopeless.

She said she was whining and wine-ing too much.

Her mother died of cancer in her fifties. She believes her attitudes ate away at her, just like the cancer.

My friend woke up to what she was doing and made a decision to choose life – change her own attitude; watch what she was putting in her body; take care of herself better; focus on her goals and dreams instead of her limiting situation.

Focusing on negatives or mediocrity can keep you stuck.

You can focus on the bad and the ugly or the good and beautiful.

Remember, where your attention goes, energy flows. You’ll create more of the same.

If you focus on what makes you happy, your life is waay more enjoyable, too.

Feeling good is the master key to manifest the life and business of your dreams.

Life sucks for everyone at times. But where you focus and how you respond is a CHOICE.

Your TIP is to identify one or more things that ignite your passion… and go for it.

Yeah, yeah. You’re busy and have a lot of responsibilities. You gotta make money. You gotta do a lotta things. You really don’t have time. You feel exhausted. Others are depending on you.

You are depending on you, too!

This is your life. What are you doing to enjoy it?

What are you doing to take care of yourself?

What turns you on?

The company of supportive people who unconditionally care about you is a godsend.

This is one of the benefits of our mastermind teams.

For me, I love what I do helping people do what they love so their dreams come true.

And I believe my passion will be ignited when later this week I see The Temptations and The Four Tops in concert. I’ll let you know on my next TIP.

TIP: How Doubt Sabotages You

September 27, 2016

A photo by Oscar Keys. unsplash.com/photos/AmPRUnRb6N0

Doubt is like a blindfold that hides your success.

Consider these scenarios:

#1 You want something you believe you can have. This alignment feels good.

  • Results: Life brings you outcomes that match your feelings. What you imagined or something better manifests.

#2 You want something, but you begin to doubt and wonder “what if” it doesn’t work. This gap in alignment between what you want but think you can’t have feels bad. Or you’re so disappointed from past failures, you’re afraid to believe.

  • Results:  Life brings you outcomes that match your feelings. Things go haywire and don’t work just as you said they wouldn’t. Just as they haven’t been.

Why does positive expectation create positively and doubt sabotage?

Think of playing notes on an instrument.

  • Let’s say, in #1, you’re a note and your goal’s a note. When you feel good, there’s harmony. Energy aligns. You attract success.
  • When you introduce doubt, as in #2, you’re playing two notes that are in discord. Discord isn’t a vibrational match for you and your goal. Things go kerflooey (yes, this actually is a word).

Negative energy occurs when your thoughts and feelings are in opposition to your goals.

Your soul tells you one thing (yes, you can do it); your ego tells you the opposite (maybe… no, you can’t).

When you feel doubt, your energy is adversarial to what you want and hinders your success.

Your TIP is to feel good, let go of doubting that you can succeed – and focus on this belief regardless of appearances.

Don’t believe your doubt.

Don’t buy into whatever is yucky in your life and act like that’s the ultimate truth.

The yuck was created because of your focus on limiting beliefs like doubt.

You CAN change your focus by making a decision to change it.

This video takes eight seconds to watch, and then repeats a few times in slow motion so you can witness this astonishing, holographic effect. Thanks to my friend Pat for sharing it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZRFcGrrsyc

Actually, this isn’t even a hologram. It’s an illusion of an illusion called augmented reality.

Don’t be blinded by your world of illusion and feel down because you don’t like what you see, then fill yourself with doubt because you can’t figure out how something can work.

There’s always a way out.

Believe.

TIP: The Happier Choice

June 7, 2016

anger

A man tried to passive-aggressively manipulate a woman, by attempting to get her to doubt herself, so she would do what he wanted.

An insecure woman controls her friend’s behavior by using her illness and fearful threats of taking away something he needs. He goes along with it because the intimidation clouds his ability to believe in himself and that he can find a solution elsewhere.

A therapist got angry with a peer who didn’t buy into her fear-based bullying which she communicated by demeaning words, raised voice, blaming others and mocking tone.

When change occurs, some people feel they’re losing control. It can feel as if their very life is threatened, and they’ll do whatever it takes to survive.

Chances are the perpetrators won’t see or believe what they’re doing.

Stand at arm’s length if you try to tell them lest they throw a punch. Ever hear the adage about not trying to teach a pig how to fly? A pig can’t fly, and you’ll just irritate the pig.

Yes, forgive them for they know not what they do… and take care of yourself! You have a responsibility to be steward of YOUR life.

You have a choice to be a follower of someone else’s fears and expectations, and give away your power, or think for yourself.

You won’t be truly happy unless you follow the rhythm of your own drum.

In avoiding dealing with situations like these (and there are countless variations), you might believe that when the people disappear into the sunset, it will be happy trails forever more. Not true.

Unless you address your “stuff,” you carry this vibration, these feelings, in your energy field. You’ll attract more of the same type of people and experiences in the future, even if your current situation goes away.

Why?

Life offers you opportunities to grow, release what’s not serving you and be free.

What does this have to do with you and your goals?

If you succumb to fear, you may find yourself doubting your ability to be richly compensated doing what you love.

You deserve much more.

Your TIP is to make the happier choice.

  • Trust yourself. Listen to the voice within and what your gut is telling you. Don’t elevate others’ opinions over your own.
  • Believe in your Self. YOU have a hotline to the Divine. Don’t diss that connection by letting others convince you that they know what’s good for you more than you do.
  • Don’t give away your power to fear and self-doubt (others or your own).

How can you do this?

  • Make choices on your behalf instead of trying to please people or kowtowing to fear. Your choices matter. You matter.
  • Listen to your inner guidance. Even if you’ve been ignoring it for a while doesn’t mean your spirit isn’t available 24/7 to give you nudges as well as to light up the best direction for you to take.
  • Pay attention to how you feel not to what you think you should do based on others’ opinions. Let good-feeling mojo be your guide.
  • Be in the now. The ego will have you long for or regret the past or be afraid of future what-ifs and worse-case scenarios. In the present, you can change your thinking and handle anything. Your power is in this moment.
  • Anticipate the best! Why not? It’s the attitude that brings positive results.

You can achieve your dreams in ways that surpass your wildest imagination. However, you must be a vibrational match to them.

Fear, manipulation, doubt and worry create more of the same. None of these are real.

Remember your Source, the real You, and make the happier choice: loving, supportive, creative, growing, free and in the Now.

Remember this, and you’re unstoppable!

TIP: Never Give Up – Part 2

May 24, 2016

Life-of-Pix-free-stock-wall-clock-time-LEEROY

On the brink of financial ruin – IRS threats, losing big clients, her vendors, office space and beloved home – my client was in a whole heap of trouble. This is the 11th hour.

Here’s Part 2 of the Never Give Up story that I mentioned I’d share on a recent TIP.

It all started when my client bought out her partner for $$$.

She didn’t find out until months later that the IRS would saddle her with her partner’s share of the taxes, and they wanted to take her house.

Not only did she need substantial six figures to pay for taxes and business overhead quickly, expected income from clients was delayed significantly.

The dominoes started falling, and she delayed payments to her vendors (even though she’d always been on time before).

Some vendors started to bug her very big client for money, and he called her office in an outrage. Even though he received great results from her service for over a decade, he was on the verge of wanting out.

An hour before she was scheduled to talk with him one-on-one, she and I had a session.

Panic. Fear. Hopelessness. If he backed out now, she’d barely have a chance for her business to survive. Escape to Mexico was considered.

But during our time together, she did a 180 turnaround.

With little likelihood of coming up with $50K in an hour, we used techniques to change her trajectory of a train wreck that looked inevitable.

Instead of hiding, she decided to talk with his soul, stop avoiding him, take responsibility and walk through her fears.

She switched from poor me to being proactive.

When he didn’t show up for their appointment, she contacted him.

By the time they talked the following day, she was an empowered woman.

She was sincerely apologetic. However, with strength, she focused on how her company was poised for their best year ever.

He said that he trusted she would handle it. End of crisis.

Very soon after, she was told that eviction proceedings were to begin to boot her out of her office because she was ten days overdue – delivered by management of the building owner with whom she’s had a 13 year business relationship.

Now, she was feeling great about her ability neither to hide nor react in fear to her seemingly disastrous situation.

She said, “I felt that if I’d face things, I’d have to be bitchy. Not true. Being honest, humble and empowered worked.”

Miraculously, she learned that her landlord had been avoiding her. He was mortified that his manager had issued an eviction notice.

Instead of her apologizing, this man who’s worth millions brought her candy to apologize!

Her reaction to the news from the IRS set in motion an energy of fear where she became a magnet for more debacles.

When she let go of what-if-the-worse-happens or resentment of how she got in her situation, she shifted her energy.

When she focused on her crises, more piled up.

When she focused on her successes and positive future, her obstacles dissolved.

“I know God is ready to bless me beyond my wildest dreams, and I went through this to understand profitability, be brave and be responsible instead of avoiding problems.”

Learning about the IRS sent her into despair for a few days.

But, this masterminder decided to use what looked like the death knell of her business to motivate her to greater success.

Recently, major, national businesses have become her clients, transforming her from a falling star to a rock star… which will solve her IRS debt.

And, she’s chosen to be done with 11th hour saves.

Your TIP is to look at something that’s not working for you in your business or life…  change your perspective and shift your energy.

What are you avoiding? How can you deal with it in an empowered way?

No more tail between your legs. No defensiveness. No lashing out. No blaming. No complaining or whining. No being overwhelmed with the seeming inevitability of defeat. No making yourself wrong or beating yourself up.

No more avoiding people or appointments because you don’t want to deal with stuff.

No more making excuses and lying in your attempts to save face.

No more acting like little kids who hold their hands in front of their faces while thinking nobody can see them because they cover their eyes.

Instead, tap into your inner resources and put things in perspective.

ALIGN WITH THE DIVINE.

YOU are greater than any problem!

You have infinite power to create and recreate your world.

Look at your bigger picture. See how, in spite of appearances, your life is arranging itself on your behalf.

Believe in you.

Never give up even if it looks like you’re in the 11th hour.

Know that things are always working out for you – because they are!

TIP: Are You in the Flow?

April 12, 2016

waterfall IcelandWater

In Divine flow. Tapping into the mastermind energy. Aligning with your Soulgoals. Being in the vortex.

What do they mean, how do you know if you’re in it and what difference does it make if you are or you’re not?

To explain what I mean by divine flow, and all of these names lead you to a similar experience, here’s an excerpt from my program Resolved for Results: A Step-by-Step Guide to Do What You Love… even if you failed before, lost hope, are afraid, stressed or confused.

When you choose to be in divine flow, you allow the universal energy and your spirit to take you beyond the daily chaos and ego’s desires.

Divine flow elevates you to a zone beyond fear and resistance, to be at peace with what is. You relax and release fixed ideas of how you think your life should go by knowing there’s a bigger plan in play.

What difference does it make? You choose.

How do you know if you’re OUT of it. (Pun kind of intended.)

When you’re out of or against the flow, it’s like swimming upstream.

Life is hard, frustrating and a struggle. You’re worried, things aren’t working. You’re full of fear, anxiety, lack, limitation, doubting yourself, and business isn’t running smoothly.

I know you’ve experienced these at times. Maybe now.

Imagine changing the channel on your radio.

You have to be on the correct frequency to hear an AM station. If you’re tuned to FM, you won’t receive AM.

When you’re not in the flow, you’re tuned to a channel to receive a bunch of stuff that doesn’t make you feel good.

Then, it’s easy to blame others for problems, health, accidents, finances, break downs, and burdens.

Yeah, all that complaining about things builds energy to generate even bigger problems that make you want to complain more.

Yeah, it seems like it shouldn’t be that way. That we can spew our anger and frustration and somehow life will change because we’re having a hissy fit.

That’s not the way the Universe is set up.

Instead, life matches the way you feel and ups the ante.

There’s a far easier way, if you’re willing to let go of the habit of grumbling and feeling bad about what you don’t like.

If life isn’t working, change your channel.

Feeling grateful is a good place to start.

How you know if you’re IN it.

The momentum you create is like a powerful waterfall.

I took notes during a recent mastermind meeting when a new, team member described her life now:

I’m zipping through life with energy, happiness and vitality. Never in my life have I been happier. Everything gets done. Everything is wonderful. Everyone is great.

Usually my life is like a roller coaster – up and down. Frustrated. Not going right.

Before, business kept me so occupied, I didn’t have time for my creative side – painting and singing.

Now, I paint every day, and the ideas are immense. I see colors and patterns. It’s just incredible. I’m singing in a church choir again. Before, I thought it would take time away from my family. It doesn’t.

Business is going great, and I’m not worried about it. I’m so excited. I don’t have the vocabulary to explain what I’m doing.

She said instead of worry, she visualizes what she chooses for her life throughout the day.

Instead of stress, she sees her business working.

When you focus on what you choose long enough with good feeling mojo, similar to what Olympic athletes do, you’ve tuned into that channel.

Eventually, there’s no gap between where you are and where you choose to be.

You’re in the right place at the right time, saying and doing the right things.

Solutions appear.

You are a living example of being in divine flow.

Your TIP is to give yourself a time-out today from complaining. About anything. Traffic. People. Politics. Finances. Weight. How parts of your life suck.

Let it go.

Simultaneously, choose to be in divine flow.

Maybe you can only manage to do this for two minutes.

Tomorrow, maybe two and a half.

Or backslide and start again immediately.

Being with supportive people who consciously create a vortex of mastermind energy makes it easier than trying to do this all by yourself.

By the way, before posting today’s TIP…  I just got off the phone with an amazing mastermind team – successful people expanding to BIGGER success.

Everyone commented on the joy and excitement to be part of a collective energy with conscious people while tapping into the mastermind energy.

“Our combined energy is changing everything for us and the world.”

Miracles and successes created since they focused attention on masterminding were astounding.

Opportunities out of the blue. New clients. Transformation. Inspiring. Blessing. Spiritual journey. Not alone. Support. Encouragement. These are a few of the words they shared to describe this morning’s meeting.

Would you benefit from being in the flow?

TIP: What to Do When You DON’T Know What to DO

April 7, 2016

I felt like I backed myself into a corner.

I was running out of time to complete writing projects – and my deadline was already extended.

My cat kept me up half the night because she was sick.

I woke up with a debilitating headache because when I eventually fell asleep, my head was in an awkward position.

I felt miserable.

Not able to focus on my business for a week because of my project.

Exhausted.

Then, it occurred to me that I’m creating this.

I forgot to consciously create my day through intention.

Instead, I focused on how I was going to get everything done.

I wondered about what I was going to do.

How I didn’t feel well.

And my approach wasn’t working. I felt stuck.

Then, I remembered.

I forgot to choose to be in Divine Flow.

When I did, I stopped pushing.

Took a nap.

Ideas came how I could resolve obstacles to complete my projects.

I started to feel better – physically and emotionally.

My feline friend felt better, too.

To explain what I mean by divine flow, here’s an excerpt from my program Resolved for Results: A Step-by-Step Guide to Do What You Love… even if you failed before, lost hope, are afraid, stressed or confused.

“If you’re struggling or suffering, change your perspective. The struggle may come because you’re trying to control or swim upstream against the current.

“If the going gets tough, maybe you’re going in the wrong direction.

“Life is designed to be in divine flow. If you’re struggling or suffering, you’re going against the flow. Maybe you think you should be acting and thinking a certain way, but that’s actually what’s holding you back and putting you in a flow that’s other than divine. If you are, choose to be in divine flow; continue to choose this.

“Let go of how you think things should be so your focus can shift to the present moment and what is. Allow new perspectives and options to emerge.”

Today’s TIP is simple – for you to implement and for me to share.

Choose to be in divine flow.

It seems to defy logic that this can make it difference.

A few seconds of setting this intention, choosing a belief, sets your day in a positive direction.

You can do this at any time of the day, especially if things start getting wonky.

Observe how your life changes for the better.

You may notice how things change a lot or step-by-step.

Either way, instead of “if it’s not one thing, it’s another,” you shift your trajectory so the track you’re on is “things get better and better.”

Live the life you’re meant to enjoy.

If you have questions or comments, just ask.

TIP: My 12 Survival Lessons from Challenging Times

February 29, 2016

Sometimes when things fall apart, they may actually be falling into place.

I’m sharing gifts from one of the most challenging times I’ve ever had. Throughout my life, there were lessons that I stubbornly hadn’t learned, and my experience gave me an opportunity to get them in a condensed amount of time… or potentially lose everything.

I later recognized that these were a shortcut in preparation for me to do what I love in a bigger way. Without really getting their value, I would’ve stayed where I was and sabotaged my future success.

Last year, many in my community were hit by a devastating flood that washed away both homes and people. I was fortunate not to be affected by this directly. However, over the second half of last year, the effects of a mold outbreak wreaked havoc with my home, walls, furniture, health and income.

While listening to several people this week, I thought some of my insights may help you, too.

  1. A positive attitude with fear running underneath doesn’t cut it. I had to live in “good feeling mojo” and focus only on what’s working and on what feels good to me – with no luxury to slip into low energy emotions. Feeling good creates momentum for things to work out for the better. Otherwise, because for a while I could barely think straight or talk coherently (sometimes I could only smile, nod and not speak), I could’ve lost everything while immersed in the haze of mold.
  2. One morning, panic completely enveloped me. Knowing that chewing on and regurgitating my problems was a dead end, I shifted to look for solutions and found them. I had to do this for months, often looking at only the next step at a time.
  3. Through this I really learned how to dump fear, even that which runs in the background like a low-grade fever. That I did this still blows my mind… which is where fear lies. Fear isn’t real; it’s in your head. If there’s a situation to be addressed, fear and worry won’t bring you solutions. Plus, if you’re afraid, you open yourself up to others controlling you for their benefit.
  4. I’d been service-minded, caring more about others and putting their needs before mine. To survive, I had to put me first. Only then could I be of any help to others. This was a HUGE lesson that I was forced to get. By the way, if you’ve always put yourself first, your lessons may be the reverse – to see the value of giving. Ultimately, it’s about balance between giving and receiving.
  5. I learned not to care about others’ opinions of me. What others think about me is their issue. I have to do what’s right for me. That released an emotional burden of guilt and second guessing myself.  A Johnny Depp quote says it well: “Just keep moving forward and don’t give a s— about what others think. Do what you have to do for you.” Sometimes people want to keep you at their level of mediocrity because they’re afraid you’re outpacing them and might kick them to the curb. Don’t buy into others’ fears.
  6. As I was forced to funnel my energy toward taking care of me (if you’re drowning, you’re not in a position to swim over to help others), I became better at discriminating NOMB – None of My Business – and listened to people instead of coaching them to solve their problems. Not that they wouldn’t have wanted help. I didn’t have the energy to give myself away and not have enough left for myself.
  7. I finally valued my feelings so much, that I no longer allowed myself to be around negatively directed energy, mine or others, even when people didn’t realize what they were doing. If they didn’t shift, I didn’t judge them. I moved on.
  8. To balance this, creating smooth experiences with others is way, way better. Watch my manners and use my social skills, even if I was exhausted, became a mantra.
  9. I stopped trying to explain or defend myself so people would understand where I was coming from. Many were so locked into their viewpoint that they weren’t able to hear what I was saying anyway. I also learned (the hard way) not to listen to them once I realized they were rude or dumping their negative opinions on me. They were neither interested nor able to consider another perspective.
  10. Believing things will work out is an essential foundation for them actually to work… then to shift into knowing everything always works out in my favor.
  11. Maintain my dignity even when I didn’t feel I had any because of my circumstances.
  12. I realized that a reason for occasional light headedness and unexplainable fatigue I’ve had for years was a residual of a severe mold experience from 17 years ago. It would sporadically (good word for mold spores) show up. I had prayed for an answer. I got it and got rid of it.

TIP: 12 Survival Lessons from Challenging Times

You’re reading this, so I know you’re alive and therefore have been through challenging times. What did you learn? Maybe hard to see when you’re in the middle of it, but why is this a blessing in disguise?

There’s always a silver lining. You can see it if you look in the right direction.

When you redirect your focus to create good feeling mojo, you’ll create miracles and successes beyond your wildest expectations.

Step back and allow yourself to see how your business and life are actually falling into place.

TIP: 4 Ways to Get Unstuck

Feeling stuck in your business or life? There are ways to free yourself – like untangling or cutting loose a cat who’s balled up in yarn. By the way, just because it’s stuck, there’s nothing wrong with the cat anymore than there’s anything wrong with you!

To help you unravel your stuckness, here’s an excerpt from the manual of my program Resolved for Results: A Step-by-Step Guide to Live Your Dreams… even if you failed before, lost hope, are afraid, stressed or confused.

A client who emailed a request to her mastermind team wrote, “I have calls out to people, but things seem stuck.” Her goal was well written and specific, including her filling appointments for three cities and a meet and greet.

But I felt the fear under her request and called her. She told me she felt pressure because an out-of-state manager was flying in, and she didn’t have appointments scheduled.

We discussed anticipating the best and letting go of expectation. Part of this letting go was a preoccupation with numbers – the number of bookings. Instead, I recommended she focus on the quality of appointments vs. the quantity.

The next night she sent us a long email. “I woke up fresh and energetic, turned things over to my CEO (God)… I decided that I was not going to “push” to “make” anything happen.” [Her bold print]

Results? Before the end of that day, key people either returned her calls to book or called prospects on her behalf to fill the appointments for her! A big client contacted her to book four trainings. She hosted a successful event that afternoon plus found a perfect venue for a board member retreat following an unsuccessful month-long search.

If you hold onto how you expect life should be, what a person should do, or what’s supposed to fulfill you, you not only limit yourself but block your success and create unnecessary pain and suffering.

It pulls you away from the present moment and foists you into an imagined future of potential disappointment, discouragement, frustration, sadness, anger, or helplessness.

The beauty of the present moment is that it opens you to what’s in alignment with your soul. If one way doesn’t work, there’s a reason. Something better is available… if you allow it into your world.

Instead of longing for what mighta, woulda, coulda or shoulda been, notice the gift of accepting what is.

Anticipating the best instead of expecting specific outcomes makes your words more powerful and opens you to results designed for the highest and best interest for all. It’s an important lesson, and I invite you to consider it in case it’s making the difference between creating difficulties or catapulting you to greater success and abundance.

TIP:  4 Ways to Get Unstuck

Identify where you feel stuck. Feeling stuck is an emotional response that can leave you feeling there’s no way out. Instead, you can find a way to untangle yourself from whatever has gotten you balled up and take productive action. Here are four alternatives that can help:

  1. You’re frustrated because you’re trying to control the outcome by expecting it (or people) to be the way you think it should. Alternative: Relax and anticipate this or something better will occur. Stop trying to micromanage the world. This opens you to tune into new ideas and directions.
  2. You’re beating yourself up with regrets or other limiting thoughts and emotions because of your situation. Alternative: Release judging you, others and your circumstances. Replace it with an empowering perspective that you’re learning, and all is in divine order and timing.
  3. You’re focusing on how things aren’t working. Alternative: focus on what you choose and the good feeling mojo it creates. Good feeling mojo is what opens you to manifest more quickly and with grace and ease.
  4. You’re pushing to make things happen. Alternative: Stop resisting (and exhausting yourself about) what is and allow things to be the way they are. You getting fussy about it won’t change it or help. Let go. Let God. Set new goals for what you choose. Take action from this perspective.

When you shift your energy, you allow life to create miracles and successes beyond your wildest expectations.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER IN 3 SECONDS

January 14, 2013

Ever start your day with dread? You don’t know how you’re going to get things done. Worried about what your spouse, boss or kids are going to say or do. Wondering how you’re going to get more money.

You may not mean it, but haphazard musings create intentions that cascade throughout your day. If you begin your morning with fear, anxiety or lack of direction, life will present you with a smorgasbord of experiences to match.

December was super busy for me. I launched my days thinking about my To Do list, random thoughts, what happened yesterday… just anything. The results were a crisis a week that miraculously got solved – but what a roller coaster ride.

I had taken a break from what I know works – quiet time to go within and consciously set intentions. As the year rolled in, I realized it made sense to take three seconds to say:

I CHOOSE TO BE IN DIVINE FLOW.

I often add a few extra game changers such as divine order, timing, financial abundance, grace and ease or whatever inspires me.

A couple of weeks later I noticed how everyday had been astounding. I was still busy and successful yet not overwhelmed – as long as I remembered to choose to be in divine flow. I also noticed that if I didn’t react but instead let situations play out, even things that appeared to be two sandwiches short of a lunch were fulfilling.

It’s mind boggling to think that something so simple can manifest such profound results.

Imagine going to a ticket counter at a train station. If you hop on any train you could land in an urban jungle. But divine flow is different. You’re allowing the life force to guide you, surrendering control to a Master Planner who has your best interest at heart.

If you question that life is supportive, consider these words from Einstein:

“I think the most important question facing humanity is,’Is the universe a friendly place?’ This is the first and most basic question all people must answer for themselves.”

“If we decide that the universe is neither friendly nor unfriendly and that God is essentially ‘playing dice with the universe,’ then we are simply victims to the random toss of the dice and our lives have no real purpose or meaning.”

“God does not play dice with the universe.”

Your life isn’t random. You’re not a victim. You have the ability to consciously design your life with the divine.

Discover this co-creation by running an experiment. Choose to be in divine flow daily for two weeks. Not just any flow – not your neighbor’s or that of people at work. Divine Flow. Affirm with an attitude of faith not desperation. If you forget in the morning, do it later. I’ve now included it as a non-negotiable way to start my day, right up there with going to the bathroom.

Now it’s your turn to “row, row, row your boat gently down the stream.  Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily. Life is but a dream.” It’s a dream you’re creating.
