Fear Causing You Problems? My Dream of Paralyzing Fear May Give You Courage

March 30, 2020

The gorge in my dream was far below, like this one in Blyde River Canyon, South Africa. See how deep the river is? However, in my dream, there were dense walls of trees on either side of the river gorge

The emotions we feel in dreams are real.
Dreams reveal what we harbor beneath our conscious thinking.
They teach us.
Fear can be turned around.
How?
Here’s what I discovered.

It was like a ropes course without ropes.

The entire group of people and instructor were in front of me straddling and scurrying across a log that bridged a deep, deep ravine, without a safety net below.

I looked down and saw I was above a cavernous gorge lined with trees, but soon I’d be above a river that was far below as it cut a path through the wood-filled cliffs.

Before I didn’t think anything about crossing this life-threatening divide. Now there still was no thinking, just the inability to move a muscle.

Suddenly I felt two hands around my waist steadying me, firmly stabilizing me. I didn’t turn around to see who it was. I knew there was no one behind me as I was the last one to cross.

The feeling reminds me of when I was a little girl. I learned to ride my new bike with my father at my side steadying me, acting like training wheels so I couldn’t wobble and fall.

With these invisible hands, I very quickly glided across the log on my way to join the others.

But then I saw that the log ended abruptly before I got to the other side, and the gap was filled with water.

I was traveling so fast that I barely had time to stop, and I thought I would slip over the edge into the abyss.

I began to demand, “How am I supposed to…”  until I noticed that the water there was shallow, around ankle-deep.

Although initially it looked like I hadn’t reached my destination, I realized all I had to do was step onto land.

Then I woke up remembering this vivid dream.

Now while thinking about it, tears come to my eyes.

Things aren’t always (as bad as) what they seem.

I literally can feel how I’m taken care of.

There is a power, call it God or the universe, whatever works for you, that has its invisible hands of safety around us.

It keeps us steady as we bravely, or even if we feel completely incapacitated, go forward.

Whatever your destination in life, including being healthy or keeping afloat financially, you can get there or someplace better.

Even if it looks like you don’t know how you can do it or feel you can’t make it, there is a way.

Ask and be open to receive instead of blocking your good through doubt.

You can move forward successfully with bold decisions, even though you don’t think you have a safety net and the stakes are high.

You are watched over and taken care of!

It can be better (and easier) than you may imagine.

TRUST things are working out for you.

If you don’t BELIEVE you can, to start, make believe you can.

TRUST and BELIEF transform outcomes.

Hold the vision of your ideal outcome AS IF it is already done.

Think from the END result not about it.

You are more in CONTROL of your life and health than you might believe possible.

What you think about and FEEL are what you attract.

ANTICIPATE the best outcome!

Don’t misuse but use your IMAGINATION in ways that support YOU.

THINK healthy, positive thoughts.

You are NOT ALONE.

You have a TEAM on the other side.

Claim this, and it’s YOURS.

SO BE IT!  SO BE IT!  SO BE IT!

When Fear Takes Over

March 23, 2020

I’ve lived through a few “dark nights of
the soul” at the turn of this century.

An age-old term, Eckhart Tolle calls
the dark night of the soul, “a collapse of a
perceived meaning in life…
an eruption into your life of a deep
sense of meaninglessness. The inner state
in some cases is very close to what is
conventionally called depression. Nothing
makes sense anymore, there’s no purpose
to anything.”

“It can happen if something happens that
you can’t explain away anymore, some
disaster which seems to invalidate the
meaning that your life had before.
Really what has collapsed then is the whole
conceptual framework for your life, the
meaning that your mind had given it.
So that results in a dark place.”

At that time, life and circumstances created
feelings and thoughts that cloaked me
with a heavy pall taking months to release.

Then, just as spring arises from the
barren winter, signs of life within me
determinedly emerged like a phoenix
rising from the ashes.

I understand when people can’t seem to
throw off pervasive feelings that run in
the background like a software program
that’s been slowly and covertly draining
their energy, often for a very long time.

When they can’t take it anymore
and have to do something, they let go.

Finally, as if those feelings had been
running on a low battery, the charge
is gone.

As I ponder what to write to you
today, all I can think about are
several, recent coaching sessions.

People identified specters that lurked
in their shadows for years, haunting
them with their convincing influence
of limitation and disapproval.

______________________________

They courageously pulled back
the curtain that hid their inner
tormentors, which were revealed to
be nothing more than Wizard of Oz
impostors… and freed themselves.
______________________________

Previously, the ego’s dictates filled
their thoughts and feelings with negativity
like smoke in a room on fire with little
space for breathing freely.

The ego is the false identity, the voice
in our heads that we think is real
.

If you believe this nonsense
of hopelessness or not good
enough, you’re being scammed!!

Eventually these images or false
identities that we based our life on
begin to crumble.

It can be devastating when we discover that
many of our core beliefs have been an illusion.

For me, when the air cleared, the peace
and empowerment of the present
moment shined like the sun on a clear,
cloudless day.

True freedom.

This freedom comes from no longer
being thrashed by past pain or fear
of the future or the hollow echoes that
you, what you do or life isn’t good enough.

Your happiness doesn’t depend on others,
the latest crisis or the news.
______________________________

Maybe you’ve heard those voices in
your head, too – the worrisome talk
that creates fear, doubt and anxiety
disguised as the voice of reason.

You became used to listening to it, so
now you don’t take risks. You fritter away
your energy distracted by blame, shame,
worry, regret, doubts, grief, frustration or
lack that leave you too exhausted to
create the life you really want.
______________________________

Living in the past brings regrets, sorrow
and suffering.

Living in the future brings worry and
fear of “what if… the worse happens?”

Living in the Now, even for a moment,
brings relief and peace. You can always
handle the present moment.

How can you be present and free
of the tyranny of fear?

Start by making a decision. Choose to!

Yes, you are that powerful.

Your Essence, not your whiny, doubting
ego, is so powerful that when you make a
decision you change your life!!

The heart freed of shackles, that were
locked in restraint by misty, forgotten
memories, is free to rejoice in renewal,
like the season of spring.

______________________________

Living in the Now takes practice, and it
helps to have positive support to
counter the ego’s seduction that tries
to hook you into believing that you can’t
attain the life, business, finances and
happiness you really want… or be
protected against a virus!
______________________________

Inevitably, the ego tries to lure you
again with its hypnotic trance of anxiety,
worry, lack, fear, doubt and limit, which
results in dissatisfaction.

However, once the taste of emotional
freedom is savored, it’s proof that peace
and happiness are more than a wishful
hope for you.

Years of habit etch neural
pathways in the brain spawning ruts
of discontent.

That all changes when being nurtured
by living in present time as new
pathways gain dominance.

A friend texted for me to write about
never giving up on your dreams.

With an unencumbered
spirit, your dreams or something
even better can come true.

You are stronger than a pesky virus! You can get through this!

Believe.

You are Stronger than the Coronavirus!

March 16, 2020

FIRST, I’ll share information about bacteria and viruses in your oral cavity and what it does to the body. Hang in there with me because I’ll connect the dots so you can see how this all fits together to help you be safe now.

SECOND, I’ll share ideas about how you are, or can be, more powerful than any illness.

THIRD, I’ll share specific information about what China is doing, that the media doesn’t want you to know, to effectively stop COVID-19. Steps you can take, too.

FIRST:

Viruses enter the body through any opening, but primarily through the mouth and nose.  That’s why we’re directed to keep our hands away from these places.

I’m now watching a free docu-series from Gateway to Health about the oral cavity and its impact on our health.

What goes on in the mouth affects many chronic health issues, from lung issues, like pneumonia, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s and cancer to heart disease, memory problems, strokes, certain types of dementia, gut issues, depression, inflammation and more. It’s quite a list.

The mouth is the entrance to your body. What starts in the mouth, be it bacteria or viruses, can then travel throughout the GI tract and the rest of the body.

From Gateway to Health I learned that:

We co-exist with bacteria and viruses all the time. The problem occurs when an imbalance is created.

The environment in your mouth is called the Oral Microbiome — this includes the gums, tongue, cheek, periodontal pockets and, of course, the teeth.

“There are 800 species of organisms in the mouth, and we swallow a trillion bacteria everyday.”

We are more bacteria than human; I’ve heard anywhere from 43% bacteria as well as 10 to 1 bacteria to human… but who’s counting?

It’s a symbiotic relationship. We give microbes a place to live, and they help us, too. For example, they help us digest our food and form a wall of defense against bad bacteria and viruses from entering our bodies.

We have a “similar destiny. We each want to survive. It’s a system.”

In other words, if we die, they die. They don’t want to kill us because they need a place to live.

Get this: “Bad bacteria only make up about 1% of the total population in the mouth — but when out of balance, they wreak havoc.”

Given the right conditions, the good bacteria are on the side of us humans and protect us.

“A healthy mouth has all the bacteria in the right proportions and equilibrium creating a right environment.”

As the mouth is the entry way to our gut, the rest of our body and our health, it has an important role to play.

We can control our Oral Microbiome by eating healthy foods, like leafy green vegetables, and getting our teeth cleaned.

Here’s a link where you can watch the next episodes of this series from Gateway to Health this week for free.

The episodes begin by offering a basic foundation of information and then build on it the more you watch.  Episode one is always available; you can find it by scrolling down the page.

https://episodes.gatewaytohealthseries.com/

What’s the point of my sharing this now when a virus is spreading like crazy?

The coronavirus, too, is looking for hosts. You don’t have to set yourself up to be one of them!

SECOND:

You can create a belief that you are healthy, protected and strong.

How? Choose it! SO BE IT!

You can create your own vaccine by the way you think.

Instead of stepping into other people’s fear, step into your connection within.

How? Here’s a quote by Abraham-Hicks:

In the absence of negative emotion—and therefore the allowance of complete alignment and communication with Source Energy—your physical body can reclaim its balance and recover from any imbalance. And once balance has resumed, it is easy to maintain with consistently good-feeling thoughts.

Your sophisticated physical body exists because of the intelligence of your cells. And the intelligence of your cells exists because of their Connection to Source Energy.

When doctors and scientists try to find cures for diseases without taking into consideration the Vibrational relationship between the physical Being and Source Energy, they are looking for cures in all the wrong places. If the resistance that disallowed the Well-Being to begin with is not released, it will show up in the form of another and another disease.

Your cells, because of their connection to the intelligence of Source Energy, know exactly what to do in order to become the incredible variety of functioning cells in your magnificent physical body. And in the absence of the hindrance that is caused by your resistant negative thought, that communication stays open to clear, up-to-the-moment interaction, keeping your physical body at peak and perfect performance.

THIRD:

Did you know that China is effectively combating COVID-19 through giving people Vitamin C intravenously?

Check out these facts:

  • There’s an 80% reduction of death from pneumonia by taking Vitamin C. (As a reminder, COVID-19 affects the respiratory system creating pneumonia.)
  • Put another way: “Even a small amount of Vitamin C stops people from dying, eight out of ten times, from pneumonia or Sars.”

The top video, which is 10 minutes and 40 seconds long, found on the following link is an eye-opener! Also there’s a doctor in China discussing what the Chinese are now doing to effectively stop the virus… and what you can do, too!

Just ingesting Vitamin C saves lives!

There’s no money in us healing ourselves as there is in vaccines or keeping us continually watching the news.

By the way, I’ve read about the benefits of boosting the immune system and taking Vitamin C from numerous health-oriented sites. Their message, too, is don’t panic!

From the Truth about Cancer:

“Dr. Andrew Saul blows the whistle on how the media is either silent or actively suppressing the fact that intravenous vitamin C is already being employed in China against COVID-19 coronavirus, and the government of Shanghai has announced its official recommendation that COVID-19 should be treated with high amounts of intravenous vitamin C. That’s right! The coronavirus can be dramatically slowed, or stopped, with the use of high doses of vitamin C.

Check this out:

https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/three-intravenous-vitamin-c-research-studies-approved-treating-covid-19/?utm_campaign=purathrive-vit-c&utm_medium=email&utm_source=weekly-digest-ttav&utm_content=three-intravenous-vitamin-c-research-studies-approved-treating-covid-19&a_aid=5903de82cac79

You can be proactive:
  1. Follow the common sense wisdom of the CDC – hand washing, social distancing, etc.
  2. COVID-19 most strongly affects people who are older or have preexisting conditions. Why? Because some in that demographic have weakened immune system.
  3. So strengthen your immune system, such as taking good doses of vitamin C as well as eating healthy.
  4. Go for a walk or exercise to relieve stress and not go stir crazy.
  5. Fear weakens your immune system.
  6. So decide, yes, I mean make a decision, to focus on your good health and that you’re simply not going to let other people’s fear affect you.

Like attracts like. Be stronger than any virus, because you are. If it comes to visit you, don’t answer the door. After all, it’s your “house,” your body.

You CAN do this!

With gratitude,

Virginia

You Don’t Have to Push Yourself Harder

March 9, 2020

What I’m about to tell you is the opposite of what most of us learned as the way to achieve success.

Forget about:

  • No pain, no gain.
  • You have to work hard for what you want.
  • Put your nose to the grindstone. (By the way… ouch! Sounds painful.)
  • Success requires sacrifice, suffering and struggle.

Beliefs like these often don’t create sustainable results nor do they lead to a happy life. Furthermore, trying hard is exhausting.

When we align our positive energy first and then take inspired action with grace and ease, we can create better outcomes while feeling good, too.

A client, whose career is in the fitness industry, shared how his life is working better.

“I let go of pushing harder. I had the kind of personality to be hard on myself, more disciplined. It left me feeling out of control, especially about things I can’t do anything about.

“I had mind-numbing, self-critiquing all the time. I was looking for approval.

“Now I see how when I’m softer and centered, I’m in control. It’s easier to be in my own skin. People are more at ease around me because I’m more at ease with myself.

“I make choices moment-to-moment instead of worrying about the future and what others think.

“I catch myself a lot quicker instead of having long periods of anxiety. I chart my course by mentally creating my ideal scenario and letting go of the pushing.

“Week by week, this new way of living life is sinking in as I allow myself to go from efforting to grace and ease.

“I’ve reclaimed my natural power and feel myself evolving to my true potential as I achieve my goals.”

There was more joy, confidence and lightness in his voice as well.

You can tap into a zone where you won’t need to push yourself. By getting out of your own way, you can get more done with better results and even go beyond limits.

It starts by shifting from trying to relaxing into a flow of doing what you love.

Olympic athletes center and focus themselves before taking action. The winners go beyond worry and ride the wave of their event – even when changing winds seem to be against them. They’re at the right place at the right time to avoid the hazards.

You can, too.

Short Stories about Kindness, Anger and Frank Sinatra

March 3, 2020

How would you feel if this were you?

A friend waited behind a car as it sat through not one but TWO green lights. Well, he had several choice words for that man.

Angrily he drove his car next to the driver and a little girl who sat next to him. The man turned to my friend and said, “I have to take my daughter to the hospital, but I don’t know which way to turn. Can you help me?”

His anger and judgment vaporized with this new perspective.

While waiting at a counter in a small shop, the woman next to me wanted to reclaim a lay-away that had been there for several months. The clerk very politely explained that their policy was for 30 days, she didn’t have a record of it, and the owner wasn’t present.

The customer responded by heartlessly debasing the clerk for being rude, which she wasn’t being at all.

After she left, the clerk told me that the customer had no idea of the challenges in her life and how much courage it took for her just to come to work.

If the customer looked beyond her self-interests, she may have handled things differently.

Then there’s this story of kindness with Frank Sinatra.

At a party hosted by Frank Sinatra at his ex-wife’s home, a young woman accidentally knocked over one of a pair of alabaster birds and smashed it. His daughter Nancy began to say how they were one of her mother’s favorites, but Frank stopped her with a look. As 40 guests stared in stunned silence, he quickly walked over to the other bird. He flicked it with a finger to the floor and smashed it, too.  Then he kindly put his around the woman and told her in a way to diffuse the situation and her discomfort, “That’s okay, kid.”

 Ahhh, grace in action.

From individuals to world politics, I’ve heard many stories this week of missed opportunities for consideration, kindness or communication.

An acting manager complicated instead of resolved a situation while treating a customer like a low-life.
A delay in a project with no urgent deadline elicited unnecessary rebuke.
People locked into negative viewpoints while refusing dialogue.

The ego wears many masks including: righteous indignation; superiority posing as the high road; impatience; sticking it to people; projecting one’s issues onto others; belittling; and judgment.

How do you respond when things don’t go your way and your buttons are pushed?

Everyone has bad days and maybe you could’ve done some things differently. But there are times you’ve chosen grace and kindness. You’ve listened; considered other viewpoints before jumping to conclusions; welcomed communication; and allowed people to be themselves although different from you.

The most important person to be kind and non-judgmental to is you. You can’t give away what you don’t have.

How does this affect your goals?

When you’re hard on yourself and others, you may repel what you want most or find it slipping through your fingers once you get it.

What can you do about it right now? Just change your perspective – consider another way of looking at things.

Ask yourself, “What did I learn?”

Fast forward to the present moment as you leave the past behind. Benefit from your lessons and move on to your next adventure. One option is to do it without judgment, with grace.
