NEED BUSINESS? MORE MONEY? – PART 3

June 16, 2011

Life is energy and consists of frequencies. When you see the best in and for others and treat them that way, you help them broaden their perspective and see a positive image of themselves. This lightens their energy which attracts better results.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 19th century German Renaissance man and writer said, ‘Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of being.”

Higher frequencies, such as those created with empowering pictures and feelings, magnetize similar energies. When you recognize your unlimited potential and feel anything is possible, illusions of limitation and fear dissipate like the morning fog.

Others can give you the same gift.

From the Resolved for Results Course

Masterminding is ancient

Napoleon Hill popularized the term masterminding in the early 1900s in his classic book Think and Grow Rich.  However, it’s been used throughout the ages from Jesus and his disciples to Bill Gates and Paul Allen who created Microsoft.

At its core, masterminding is the coordination of knowledge and focused attention born from people gathering together in the spirit of harmony with an intention to serve a definite purpose.

Benjamin Franklin formed a mastermind group called the Junto in 1727.  The results? Our first:

  • Library
  • Volunteer fire department
  • Police department
  • Public hospital
  • Paved streets
  • And the Universityof Pennsylvania.

I consciously began masterminding in 1995 when I facilitated my first success team which used support, brainstorming and accountability. It worked. However, when people didn’t do what they agreed to, their issues soared as their self-confidence nose-dived.

I discovered that when people move forward in the direction of their dreams, they run into the beliefs that hold them back. If they don’t have a crowbar to get out of the crash, they get stuck there.

Can masterminding impede success?

Manifesting works best when feeling self-confident, deserving of success and believing you can do it. But when I watched a college professor shrivel and slump like an eight year old on her own sofa in her own home because she didn’t complete her assignments, I realized why she limited her results.

Over the years, I observed this phenomena countless times. I knew there had to be a way to bypass the emotional sinkholes that people fell into.

The way was revealed to me at a time when I was stuck and DETERMINED to overhaul my life.  I was resolved to change my income, my business, my weight, my house, the struggle, everything – I had had enough. Oh yeah, and I was ready to have more fun, too!

I needed new tools to build a new world for myself.

I didn’t need brainstorming (although it helped) only to be discouraged when things didn’t work out the way we discussed (which seemed to be my norm).

I didn’t need accountability (although it’s a great tool) because an idea often nudged me to actions other than ones I committed to. As I didn’t know where my guidance would take me, I felt that following it was avoiding action I agreed to do. And when I didn’t meet my commitments, I felt like I failed.

I needed to trust myself, see myself succeeding and feel empowered so I could accomplish my goals. It didn’t matter if I worked my plan successfully as long as I felt I could do it and took action. Then, if plan A didn’t work, I’d make up plan X, Y or Z. I’d find a way.

I called a friend, shared my discoveries and asked if she would start masterminding with me immediately. I was desperate for results.

Miracles happened.

  • A retreat facility drastically moved up a deadline and asked for a room commitment in two weeks.  I hadn’t even announced it yet. Instead of giving up, I asked a group to mastermind via teleconference. The retreat not only filled but was one of the best events I’ve had the honor to facilitate. In doing so, I realized great results come from group masterminding by phone.
  • I released 11# of weight in five weeks.
  • When I shared the idea with others, they wanted to experience it – so business took off for them and me.
  • Projects I’d been putting off for years got done.
  • Life once again became fun.

I realized I was top dog instead of being wagged by the tail.

While there are many types of masterminding, and some are similar to what we now do, this was my journey of discovery of a system that emerged. I call it Resolved for Results because that’s exactly what I was – resolved. As I began to share it with others, a structured program, including a 240 page success manual, evolved that people could depend on to bring results when they used the system.

Here’s what I found.

Creating a word picture where someone can SEE and FEEL their goal, as if they’re living it now, shifts their attitude to possibilities. Action is created through enthusiasm, vision and belief in themselves and their goals. By recognizing their essential connection with their own divinity and uprooting limiting beliefs, they create results with grace and ease that go beyond their wildest expectations

Many mastermind groups use a set of principles. Resolved for Results has its roots in seven beliefs. For example, #7 is “I am grateful which changes my attitude and opens me up to bigger and better things.”

Now it’s your turn to mastermind for results.

Ask someone you trust to mastermind with the purpose of both of you achieving your goals.

In Part 2, you learned how to choose a goal. Now’s the time you’ll need it.

Have fun with this streamlined version of Resolved for Results masterminding:

  • Say to a partner: “I choose and am willing to receive this or something better:” Then state your goal.
  • The partner responds: Your name, I support your choices, and I see you… then expand the goal by painting a word picture.
  • End the masterminding by saying “So be it.”
  • Say thank you to acknowledge the gift that was given and share how you benefitted from it.
  • Reverse roles.
  • Repeat regularly for best results.

While it’s extremely powerful to mastermind with another person, you can mastermind with God, your guardian angel or anyone on the other side. If you’re a scientist, Einstein would make a great partner!

NEED BUSINESS? MORE MONEY? – PART 2

June 10, 2011

Masterminding invokes the soul, which is 100% of your spirit, to assist you to design a life of your choice.  Multiply this by the number of people in a harmonious mastermind group and place the Prime Creator at the center. This is the mastermind energy.

When you mastermind you awaken to receive love, support, energy, and guidance from 100% of the highest consciousness. It’s no surprise, then, that the mastermind creates results beyond what you can do using just 10% or less of ordinary thinking and effort.

A natural consequence is that fear, doubts, worry, anxiety, and anything counterproductive burn away in this light.

From the Resolved for Results Course

To reap the harvest from masterminding, you must first decide what you choose.

Like  planting a garden, your crop is dependent on the seeds you sow.

I met Elizabeth D. at her first Mastermind Party on May 4. Five days later, she emailed me this:

“Thank you!  It was a very inspiring meeting…

“I thought I’d share something funny…remember how I asked for $10,000 a month?  Well, I got a check in the mail today for $8000. Not related to work, but still I was open to receive the abundance from anywhere, right?”

I suggested she watch for the other $2,000. On June 5, she sent me this:

I got that extra $2000 check ending May at $10,000!  Interesting! Manifesting the dream.

While setting her goal, she thought she might be asking for too much. This is a common concern. The key to manifesting isn’t about how much you ask for but in choosing authentically.

Is your heart or head choosing your goal?

  • Your head and ego direct you to what sounds good and what you think you should do.
  • Your heart and soul nudge you in a direction that lights you up, even though it may create feelings of fear because it’s outside of your comfort zone.

Imagine you are living your goal right now. What do you feel? Happy? Does your heart sing? If so, you’re on the right track.

Do you feel constricted, shut down, neutral or sad? If so, consider tweaking it or choosing another goal.

Don’t worry if you change your mind. Choose again until you have one you can focus on.

TIP: Ask within that you recognize the best goal for you without a shadow of a doubt.

Sometimes it’s easier to figure out what you want by clarifying what you don’t want – and then turn it around.

What don’t you want?

Create two columns on a sheet of paper by drawing a line down the middle.

In one column, make a list of what you need, don’t want, find objectionable, don’t have or are unhappy about regarding business and money (which includes what it can purchase) or anything else in your life.

For example, in the first column write things like these:

  • I hate what I’m driving.
  • I need a computer for when I travel.
  • I’m overdue for a vacation.
  • I’m sick of my job.

In the next column, write the opposite. Add details, if you have them.

  • A reliable, red Ford 150 truck
  • An iPad with warranty.
  • 5 days, 4 nights in Vegas
  • A job I love earning $50,000 or more a year working with people I enjoy.

Here are some simple guidelines for writing your goal:

  1. Use positive language: say what you choose, not what you don’t want.
  2. Claim your goal now, not for the future – what you will do or have.
  3. Don’t limit it – ask for this or something better
  4. Don’t set goals for others without their permission.

When you align with your soul’s goal, are open to receive, and focus on it with a positive attitude of anticipation, miracles can and do happen.

In Part 1, you opened yourself to receive.

In Part 2, you learned the basics on how to choose a goal.

In Part 3, you’ll learn how to mastermind.

Get ready to create miracles and successes so you can share your gifts with the world and be richly compensated.

NEED BUSINESS? MORE MONEY? – PART 1

June 2, 2011

41 ½ hours after her second group mastermind meeting, a health practitioner emailed me this : “Thanks to Masterminding and the power of positive thinking, my Friday turned from no treatments scheduled to 5 clients”

“I’ve also had 4 new clients schedule appointments… all 4 scheduled in the past 2 days…so close to our Masterminding session that even Doubting Thomas couldn’t fail to see the connection.  My deepest gratitude for your commitment to getting this message out, Virginia.”

Her wish is her command. So is yours.

Sounds great, but how can you do it?

Masterminding is so powerful that it’s easy to believe on a very deep level you can receive what you choose – and you manifest what you believe.

Manifesting is like gardening. The first step is to prepare the soil so the garden of your thoughts bears fruit, not dandelions.

Everything is given according to your belief.

You may have heard the expression, if you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won’t, you assuredly won’t.

Many immigrants came to America believing this is the land of opportunity. With little to start with, they created thriving businesses and success. They decided on a direction, believed they could succeed, took action and reaped the rewards. In spite of hardships, grieving the loss of loved ones, often arriving with little more than what they wore and being strangers in a strange land, their belief and determination allowed them to triumph.

Sherri Geng, a Chinese immigrant and finalist in the 2005 Intel Science Talent Search, wrote this in a BusinessWeek article:

“It is hard not to notice the disproportionate number of immigrant success stories in America. All across the world, America is considered the land of opportunity, and so it should not be surprising that the immigrants who do get here end up being uncommonly successful: They are the ones who fought the hardest, stared down the most competition, were driven by the fiercest pangs of hunger.”

Has your life been difficult?

You learned from your challenges as others did from theirs. Those who survived a tsunami learned to go to higher ground. One woman who didn’t make it, for example, picked up her children at school. She tried to return home through a valley instead of immediately heading to higher and safe ground.

You survived circumstances in your life and are reading this. That makes you a survivor and consciously awake to improving yourself. Congratulations!

We’ll skip the judging part where you think you should be doing more, should have more, should be more. I invite you to stop “shoulding” on yourself and pause to drink in that you’re good enough as is right now.

Breathe. Relax. Ahhhh.

Count Your Blessings

Now consider your choices. You can focus on your hardships and licking your wounds or you can use the precious lessons you learned as stepping stones to a better life.

Maybe your life is awesome in some ways but really sucks in others. So, revel in what’s working and know you allowed your wonderful creation into existence.

Be confident that if you like anything in your life, even if it’s teensy weensy, you can translate this goodness to create more.

If you can’t find anything, look again. It’s unquestionably there.

If actor Michael J. Fox, who was at the top of his game, can be grateful for having Parkinson’s disease because of the authenticity it brought him, what can you be grateful for?

A positive attitude synchronizes you with a frequency of energy necessary to manifest.

How can you align with energy that produces fruit instead of dandelions?

Writing a daily gratitude list is a simple way to focus on your blessings. It tills and fertilizes your soil of thoughts and feelings so you create a bountiful harvest.

Don’t want to bother writing? You can think about these, but after a couple of days you may forget and slip back into focusing on what you don’t want and like. Plus, when you write about what’s working, your thoughts and feelings shift.

If you’re serious about creating more business, money or anything else, take the time to write what you’re grateful for. When you refocus and allow your heart to have fun and open, miracles happen.

For 30 days, write five or more things you’re grateful for in a journal.

Experiment and demonstrate the results to yourself. If you like what you see, make it a habit to continue. Made your list before? You can write new ones.

By doing so, you’ll change the negative story that the irritating voice in your head has been mouthing off about. By doing so, you alter your perspective and open to receive greater good.

Life is always poised to bring you what you choose or something better. Be willing to receive miracles.

You’ve prepared the soil for seeds of success to manifest by:

  1. Weeding out stinkin’ thinkin’ so you can have healin’ feelins’.
  2. Fertilizing with a positive attitude of belief and gratitude.

Part 2 will offer you tools to plant the seeds, mastermind and reap your harvest.
