TIP: 4 Ways to Get Unstuck

January 25, 2016

cat yarn

Feeling stuck in your business or life? There are ways to free yourself – like untangling or cutting loose a cat who’s balled up in yarn. By the way, just because it’s stuck, there’s nothing wrong with the cat anymore than there’s anything wrong with you!

To help you unravel your stuckness, here’s an excerpt from the manual of my program Resolved for Results: A Step-by-Step Guide to Live Your Dreams… even if you failed before, lost hope, are afraid, stressed or confused.

A client who emailed a request to her mastermind team wrote, “I have calls out to people, but things seem stuck.” Her goal was well written and specific, including her filling appointments for three cities and a meet and greet.

But I felt the fear under her request and called her. She told me she felt pressure because an out-of-state manager was flying in, and she didn’t have appointments scheduled.

We discussed anticipating the best and letting go of expectation. Part of this letting go was a preoccupation with numbers – the number of bookings. Instead, I recommended she focus on the quality of appointments vs. the quantity.

The next night she sent us a long email. “I woke up fresh and energetic, turned things over to my CEO (God)… I decided that I was not going to “push” to “make” anything happen.” [Her bold print]

Results? Before the end of that day, key people either returned her calls to book or called prospects on her behalf to fill the appointments for her! A big client contacted her to book four trainings. She hosted a successful event that afternoon plus found a perfect venue for a board member retreat following an unsuccessful month-long search.

If you hold onto how you expect life should be, what a person should do, or what’s supposed to fulfill you, you not only limit yourself but block your success and create unnecessary pain and suffering.

It pulls you away from the present moment and foists you into an imagined future of potential disappointment, discouragement, frustration, sadness, anger, or helplessness.

The beauty of the present moment is that it opens you to what’s in alignment with your soul. If one way doesn’t work, there’s a reason. Something better is available… if you allow it into your world.

Instead of longing for what mighta, woulda, coulda or shoulda been, notice the gift of accepting what is.

Anticipating the best instead of expecting specific outcomes makes your words more powerful and opens you to results designed for the highest and best interest for all. It’s an important lesson, and I invite you to consider it in case it’s making the difference between creating difficulties or catapulting you to greater success and abundance.

TIP:  4 Ways to Get Unstuck

Identify where you feel stuck. Feeling stuck is an emotional response that can leave you feeling there’s no way out. Instead, you can find a way to untangle yourself from whatever has gotten you balled up and take productive action. Here are four alternatives that can help:

  1. You’re frustrated because you’re trying to control the outcome by expecting it (or people) to be the way you think it should. Alternative: Relax and anticipate this or something better will occur. Stop trying to micromanage the world. This opens you to tune into new ideas and directions.
  2. You’re beating yourself up with regrets or other limiting thoughts and emotions because of your situation. Alternative: Release judging you, others and your circumstances. Replace it with an empowering perspective that you’re learning, and all is in divine order and timing.
  3. You’re focusing on how things aren’t working. Alternative: focus on what you choose and the good feeling mojo it creates. Good feeling mojo is what opens you to manifest more quickly and with grace and ease.
  4. You’re pushing to make things happen. Alternative: Stop resisting (and exhausting yourself about) what is and allow things to be the way they are. You getting fussy about it won’t change it or help. Let go. Let God. Set new goals for what you choose. Take action from this perspective.

When you shift your energy, you allow life to create miracles and successes beyond your wildest expectations.

TIP: 1 Simple Step for Your Dreams to Come True

January 18, 2016

two roads convergingBefore looking at why we have a habit of complicating the uncomplicated, let’s start with the punch line.

The way to get what you want is to feel good on the inside, as if you’re already living your dream. Then, because like attracts like, you’re an energetic match for what you choose.

Your dream and your life come together as one, like two roads converging.

Vision + Feeling = Dreams Come True

Not hardly? Here’s how best intentions end up looking like gremlins sneaked up on your life while you were sleeping and created havoc.

Let’s say, you aren’t as far along as you think you should be.

You did all the “right” things which shoulda given you a bag of treats with a smiley face, but it’s looking more like a bag of tricks.

Or maybe you really screwed up. The damage is done. Plus, you can’t forgive yourself.

Or maybe you’re at such and such an age. By now, you think you should’ve accomplished certain goals – financial, career, relationship, health, personal – it really doesn’t matter why you’ve been shoulding on yourself.

So, on one side, you have your coulda woulda shouldas. You’ve been beating yourself up about them, too.

On the other are your dreams.

Here’s where your inner gremlin creates mischief.

It’s essential to believe in yourself living your dreams, without vacillating between what if you could actually have them and fretting about what if it you don’t.

If your focus is on your so-called reality, you’ll create more of your reality. If you’re aware of your current conditions, but remain steadfast on the feeling of living your dream, your point of attraction will shift in that direction. Inspired action follows. What you focus on grows.

You are creating your “reality” through how you react to people and circumstances, the choices you make, and how you think and feel.

Martin Luther King claimed his dream in his famous speech. It was spoken in present time as if it already happened:

 I have a dream today!

Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!

TIP: 1 Simple Step for Your Dreams to Come True

Ask yourself what you do you really, really want?

Sink into the feeling as if you already are living it. This will feel comforting and happy.

You’ll feel bad if you start judging yourself because you’re not there. Refocus. You have the ability to be in control of your feelings. It’s just a habit to believe otherwise. Now, don’t judge yourself for having that habit. Everyone does to a point. It just takes practice to shift your attention.

Your Essence is pure, positive energy. Ask for help from your Wise Self. That’s the real YOU.

YOU are always, always here for the asking.

You know when you’re connected when you have good feeling mojo.

The more you allow your vision and your feelings to merge as One, the more you allow yourself to feel comforted and pleased and happy with the feeling of living your dream, the more quickly you’ll see results.

If you commiserate with others about how things aren’t working, don’t share your precious dreams. You’ll have faster results if you surround yourself with positive, supportive people, like those on a mastermind team.

Feel it now to live it. The one simple step for your dreams to come true.

TIP: How to Stay Motivated

What's Your Why

What would you like your year to bring? More money and time? Smoother family life? Fun and friends? Relaxation and vacations? Better health? Big dreams coming true?

Without knowing “your why,” the reason your goal is important to you, your motivation can become like a wind-up toy that ran out of its wind-up. Soon after, you return to the same ole, same ole way you’ve always done things. Add to this frustration and disappointment.

More money is appealing. But money for money’s sake may not provide enough incentive to create more cha-ching in your life.

In the movie Joy, Jennifer Lawrence’s character was highly motivated not to quit. Against all odds, she dug deep and found reasons to keep going. Because she knew her “why,” she found a way out of overwhelming failure to experience success.

Interestingly, sometimes a reason to accomplish goals is a gut-level determination to take care of yourself or stop playing small. The line is drawn in the sand. You’re no longer going to tolerate what’s not working. You’re inspired.

Following are excerpts from my Resolved for Results course to help you stay motivated and get in touch with your why – the soul of your goal:

Have you ever desired something and, when you got it, realized it wasn’t what you really wanted? You asked for a specific outcome but didn’t clarify the soul of your goal, its essence.

Well, that explains the divorce rate.

Have you ever desired something, got something else instead, and then realized it was better than what you asked for? You tapped into the soul of your goal.

Sally’s ideal scenario included very specific details, including marrying a 6’ 2” red- haired man who owned a 10,000 acre ranch.

I asked if she would like to have several employees around all day because, with a spread that size, she could attract a working ranch.

That was absolutely not her intention. She wanted the acreage for privacy. She could have received what she asked for and not been happy… along with a man who fit her description but didn’t share her values. She didn’t mention any.

When I looked for a house, the soul of my goal included a low maintenance, wooded area offering privacy but not seclusion.

I bought a home at the end of a cul-de-sac in a country subdivision with a Xeriscaped lawn. It’s surrounded by trees, a greenbelt in the back, and a fenced-in 1000 acre, exotic wildlife ranch next to a neighboring tree-filled lot.

Have you pursued a goal, got discouraged or sidetracked, then lost energy to keep going? If you don’t have a compelling reason, “your why” that underlies your goal, it’s easy to get off-track, lose motivation, and quit.

TIP: How to Stay Motivated

Be still and go within. Ask your soul why your goal is important to you.  Intend to get an answer. Now write about it so that you tap into your gut-level reason of why you choose this. Write so authentically that it can bring tears to your eyes.

Your brain may not be able to fathom how your goals can occur. However, if your intention is in alignment with the soul of your goal, miracles happen.

Be open to receive.

TIP: 4 Keys to Create Your Best Year Ever

New Years - Awesome

Would you love to be a Resolutions Rock Star where your new year wishes come true? Even though University of Scranton research says that only 8% of people achieve success with their new year’s resolutions, you can be part of that number.

Just as each morning offers a fresh start, a new year can inspire you to become who you always wanted to be when you grew up. Or somebody way better and more interesting.

Here are four keys to help you experience the success you richly deserve. Be sure to read to the end about a time-sensitive opportunity, too.

1. Focus on what you choose. The Hawaiian Huna tradition highlights this idea with one of its life principles: energy flows where attention goes. If you focus attention on what you don’t have or didn’t do, who or what’s not working for you, or berate yourself for what you shouldn’t have done (but that yummy dessert was so worth it), you’ll create more of the same. Instead, focus on your goals and feeling good. Achieving small, specific goals, like a target of going to the gym twice a week, can encourage you to keep going for your big vision. Not making yourself wrong can get you further than being disappointed because you didn’t release 30# last week, even though you just set your resolution today. Also, cut yourself slack when the inevitable backslides happen.

2. Let go of goofy ideas that try to seduce you to doubt that you and your goals are awesome. Universal beliefs like “you’re not good enough” (yes, everyone has a variation of that theme playing in their heads) hold you back. Low confidence and limiting  beliefs cause resistance.  A car that’s going for higher performance factors in air resistance, which is basically friction created from moving through the air. Releasing resistance, while moving to your goals, is essential to manifest them. The more you let go of this friction, the easier and more quickly you see results.

3. Create momentum for success. Don’t dwell on silly stuff that gets your you-know-what tied up in a wad. Focus on feelings and thoughts that create good feeling mojo – about everything. This will propel you in a trajectory to turn your dreams into reality. Positive attracts positive. Waiting for circumstances to change before you feel better will only leave you tasting the dust as you watch others zoom by you and succeed.

4. Tap into the infinite power of a mastermind team, and immerse yourself with positive, supportive energy where resolutions turn into results. My Resolved for Results course describes the mastermind as “an energy created when two or more gather in harmony… highly charged energy greater than the mind can conceive. It has the ability and does produce results beyond your wildest dreams. It’s unlimited and often creates in better ways than you could plan. Life flows in your favor naturally and with ease. Plans already in motion come to fruition; new opportunities just happen when they didn’t before. As events unfold, it’s as if you never had any problems to begin with, and you see success is inevitable.”

TIP: 4 Keys to Create Your Best Year Ever

You probably want to make several changes in your life or business. For now, choose one that’s most important to you.  Be sure that your resolution or goal doesn’t include another person without their permission so you don’t infringe on their free will.

Know that if you have an idea, this or something better is available for you. Be single-minded in your focus that you can achieve this. If you believe and then question yourself, you create an energetic wiggle that throws you out of alignment with your goal. This is important.

Treat your goal like a precious gem, and only share it with those who respect it. Refrain from naysayers who offer constructive criticism or are “just telling it like it is.”

If you’re serious about 2016 being your best year ever, there’s a new Resolved for Results course with a dynamic mastermind team starting Sunday night, January 10th.  This time-tested and proven program supports you to apply effectively with ease and grace these four keys and so much more.
