What Do You Really Think About Yourself?

March 20, 2023

Your thoughts about yourself create your future.

So what have you been telling yourself about you recently?

Stupid, smart, not good enough, grateful?

Is that really what you think about yourself?

If you want more money, which thinking do you believe works best?

  • I really need it, but I don’t think I’ll ever get paid what I’m worth.
  • (In spite of my circumstances) I feel that more money is coming to me.

If you want more of something, feel as if you already have it. You won’t get what you want (or you could be miserable or not hold onto it) if you’re waiting for it to appear before you believe it.

Your thoughts about yourself are just mental concepts. Your thoughts and ideas are only pictures in your mind, and often times they were downloaded into your brain by others.

The tendency is to accept all of your perceptions as real because they’re in your head. However, they’re limiting because more possibilities exist than you can imagine.

“To look upon the appearance of disease will produce the form of disease in your own mind, and ultimately in your body, unless you hold the thought of the truth, which is that there is no disease; it is only an appearance, and the reality is health.

“To look upon the appearances of poverty will produce corresponding forms in your own mind, unless you hold to the truth that there is no poverty; there is only abundance.”

Wallace D. Wattles, The Science of Getting Rich

What do you think about yourself?

Do you say you want more money but think about yourself as poor, in lack or needy?

Do you say you want greater health but see your body as sick?

How you identify who you believe you are now is writing your script for who you’ll be in the future.

If you focus on your outer circumstances, you’ll repeat them in the future. Focus on what you choose instead.

Don’t be fooled by appearances, and certainly don’t beat yourself up because you feel you’re not good enough. Your current circumstances exist because of old ways that you thought about yourself.

You always have a choice about how you feel and think, even if things seem out of your control.

Imagine what life would be like if you see yourself as the hero of your dreams coming true!

Lose Something? Money, Keys, Your Mind?

June 28, 2022

Find your treasure at the end of the rainbow

A woman, accompanied by a supermarket employee, apologized when she bumped into me. As she frantically swooshed by me again moments later, she turned her head to tell me that she was looking for her keys. I responded: “Say ‘God knows, and God shows.’” She saw her keys within seconds next to a weight scale!

A relative misplaced a big check with several zeroes on it for a couple of weeks. When she called me about it, I told her to repeat God knows, and God shows. Within two hours, I received a message that she found it on top of a dresser drawer.

By the way, you can use language like “the universe knows, and the universe shows,” if this feels more comfortable for you.

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
Albert Einstein

Why saying God knows, and God shows works.

  1. Using a practical application of Einstein’s quote, if your thinking is on loss or what you can’t find, then it’s not on the wavelength of finding. It’s like being on an AM station and looking for FM. You can’t find it because looking and finding are different frequencies.
  2. God knows, and God shows is a tool to let go and surrender. It allows you to let go of focusing on lack (what you don’t have or can’t find), and open to receive a higher energy to “solve our problems.” Think of it as surrendering a caterpillar’s perspective so you can enjoy a butterfly’s view.
  3. You release the need to find something, which often comes with energies such as anxiety attached to it. As like attracts like, neediness attracts more reasons to feel fearful or frustrated. (Oh no, what if I can’t find it? The what ifs are fear-based traps to keep you wanting but not having.)

Even though it seems that it shouldn’t be this way, you’ll get more of whatever you’re feeling, not what you say you want.

God knows, and God shows allows a greater power to refocus you and override limiting beliefs, such as “I don’t know where it is“ or “I can’t find it.”

Don’t take my word for it. Experiment. Use these words while being open to the possibility of getting results instead of being closed with a stubborn defiance of “prove it.”

Let’s expand the application to money, jobs, business and life.

Looking for new business, your ideal job or to make more money? Don’t know where to find it? God knows, and God shows. RELAX. You are now on the wavelength to attract new clients, greater wealth and more opportunities.

Feel stuck about anything? Feel like you’re losing your mind? Instead of wallowing in disappointment or any less than positive emotion, you’ll get on track faster in all areas of your life by proclaiming, “God knows, and God shows.”

Follow the trail to the pot of gold at the end of your rainbow, one step at a time.

Happy manifesting.

My Mother Came Out of Her Coma to Tell Me Her 4 Last Words

December 13, 2021

In 1988, when my mother went into a coma, I knew the end was near.

It was also a time when my health and energy were as poor as my pocketbook. I knew she wanted to be buried in New York next to my father, but I had no idea where the money would come from for the funeral and to move her body from Texas.

As I ruminated aloud about my dilemma with her near-lifeless body next to me, she came out of her coma and said, “You’ll find a way,” and immediately slipped away again.

These were the last words I ever heard from my mother. “You’ll find a way.”

Interestingly, a phrase she repeatedly voiced throughout her life was “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

I got creative and found a way. It was surprisingly easy to arrange for several thousands of dollars of expenses and transportation costs although I barely had money for food at the time.

Reportedly, a mother found strength to lift a car to save her child who was underneath. If asked earlier, she probably would’ve scoffed at the possibility of doing such a thing.

In real emergencies, the mind and its limitations step aside, and the brilliance of our true spirit shines its light to guide us.

We don’t have to have an emergency to access this.

The light is always here to show the way if we turn it on.

Whatever you’re going through now, you’ll find a way through!

10 Inspirational Quotes to Get Rich

August 31, 2020

Wallace D. Wattles (1860-1911), an American, wrote the classic The Science of Getting Rich because he believed becoming wealthy, getting rich, is a science in the same way there’s a system to how arithmetic works. He shared that once this science is understood and implemented, people can become rich.

In 2006 during a Newsweek interview, Rhonda Byrne said that Wattles’ The Science of Getting Rich was her inspiration for her hit film and book The Secret, that demonstrates the Law of Attraction.

Below are quotes from Wallace Wattles.

With gratitude,

Virginia

“The grateful mind is constantly fixated upon the best. Therefore it tends to become the best. It takes the form or character from the best, and will receive the best.”

“You can never become a great man or woman until you have overcome anxiety, worry, and fear. It is impossible for an anxious person, a worried one, or a fearful one to perceive truth; all things are distorted and thrown out of their proper relations by such mental states.”

“The very best thing you can do for the world is to make the most of yourself.”

“You must get rid of the thought of competition. You are to create. Not to compete for what is already created.”

“By thought, the thing you want is brought to you. By action, you receive it.”

“Abandon everything you have outgrown.”

“Talk about the happy times you had in your youth, and forget all the unhappy times.”

“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”

“Nothing that is possible in spirit is impossible in flesh and blood. Nothing that man can think is impossible. Nothing that man can imagine is impossible of realization.”

“You can become what you want to be.”

Not Getting What You Want? Here’s Why.

August 21, 2019

Here’s what happened to two of my clients that cut them off from getting what they wanted… and how they turned it around.

1. Before we started coaching, a man was tens of thousands of dollars in the hole. Soon after, he turned his business around and in the last year has socked away many, many tens of thousands in savings.

However, he had a major meltdown about the “bitter reality” of not being able to get something he had been looking forward to having. Although the upset occurred in his personal life, his tremendous momentum in sales came to a halt.

Usually, at the beginning of his sessions, he listed so many deals that I couldn’t write them all down. This time, he said his business was anemic. Nothing going on at all!

By the end of his session, he did a 180 turnaround as he “put things in perspective.”

He said, “I trust I can deal with this better and more appropriately. I’m in a better spot now. I’m more comfortable about moving forward.

“I now feel gratitude for what I have instead of disappointment for what I don’t have.”

Less than two hours later, he got a call about a new prospect. The following day he had a new client!

Energy attracts like energy. What’s felt in some part of one’s life spills over to the rest of it. When he felt frustrated and disappointed, he magnetized other situations, like lack of clients, so he could continue feeling frustrated and disappointed. When he felt more positively, he attracted success.

2. Starting last fall, a seasoned professional’s business plummeted, and she was living off credit cards.

Shortly after coaching with me this year, she successfully turned her business around as she attained her goal of $1 million in monthly sales.

Suddenly, it all came to a standstill. $700,000 of deals completely fell through with no prospects on the horizon.

What happened?

She was brought up to believe that you have to work hard to get what you want. However, she met a guy last fall, and they’ve been having fun, fun, fun!

Recently, she’s been having so much fun that her limiting belief that “work has to be hard” crept back again. Her financial flow stopped cold in its tracks.

She became aware of her faulty belief, and let it go. During this week’s session, she reported that she’s on track to achieve her goal of $1 million of transactions next month, the time it takes for her deals to process.

In the meantime, she received a call asking her to consider a totally unexpected, significant income stream. This put needed cash in her pocket now and will continue to do so in the future.

A simple thought that life and work have to be hard impacts results. When her fun life became incongruent with that erroneous belief, something had to give. For her, it was to stop making money. That is, until she caught on and turned it around.

Not getting what you want? There’s an underlying reason for the disconnect.

Change your perspective to turn your life around. Imagine differently. Start by seeing through the eyes of gratitude and having more fun.

Life is supposed to be fun. No one is taking score of any kind, and if you will stop taking score so much, you will feel a whole lot better — and as you feel a whole lot better, more of the things that you want right now will flow to you… All is really well. Have fun. Have fun. Have fun!

Does Your Money Flow Go UP and down? This Could Be Why.

July 22, 2019

A successful woman at the top of her field mentioned that she makes a lot of money… and then she doesn’t.

She had no idea why her money flow went UP and down.

I told her she’s right. There’s a part of her that has absolutely no idea why. None at all.

However, there’s another part of her that does. Then I asked the part of her that does for the answer to why.

Whereas before she didn’t have a clue, suddenly she got it.

When she was a child, her parents frequently said that people who have money are greedy.

Of course, she doesn’t want to be greedy. So although she would make a lot of money, following would be a dry spell.

I recommended she journal about it to gain further insights after her session, which she did.

Now that she’s aware of the issue, she’s consciously choosing not to go along with thoughts of limitation when they pop in her head. Instead, she’s replacing them with more prosperous ideas.

FIVE DAYS LATER, and following a business lull, she’s in the process of closing deals around $2 1/2 million in addition to earning the business of two new, big clients.

If you want more money and don’t know what to do, use this technique described above. Your answer may surprise you.

Do You Have a Shortage of What You Want?

November 5, 2018

purse-ea30b50728_340

There’s a saying that goes like this: from your lips to God’s ears.

Do you realize the power of your words and thoughts, even casual ones? Do you realize your own power?

You are not a victim of life’s circumstances.

Most people have a habit of talking about what they don’t have, don’t want, what’s too expensive, how they can’t afford something, what they hope for but wonder if it’s possible that it could happen, or simply complain about what’s not working.

Where’s the focus? On lack. On shortage.

As Job said in 3:25-26 of the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible:

What I feared has come upon me;
what I dreaded has happened to me.
I have no peace, no quietness;
I have no rest, but only turmoil.”

Buddha is quoted to have said: “The mind is everything. What you think is what you become.”

The good news is that you can change your circumstances starting now by shifting your perspective from lack, shortage, fear and worry to focusing on what makes you happy and what you choose.

In doing so, you’ll discover your ability to shape your outer world to enjoy what you really, really want.

First, believe in yourself and realize, the best you can in this moment, that you have access to a power that creates all the universes and that which it contains.

Below are quotes from two teachers who add more perspective. These ideas are applicable to money or anything!

ABRAHAM-HICKS

Continuing to tell stories of shortage only continues to contradict your desire for abundance, and you cannot have it both ways: you cannot focus upon unwanted and receive wanted. You cannot focus upon stories about money that make you feel uncomfortable and allow into your experience what make you feel comfortable. A different story will bring different results.”

“If you are feeling a shortage of time or money, your best effort would be to focus upon better-feeling thoughts, and do more things that make you feel good.”

BOB PROCTOR

“One thing you should never, never do, is worry about whether or not you’ll get the amount of money you desire, because we tend to manifest that which we focus on, so if we’re focused and worried about not having money then we tend to attract more of that way of life, as opposed to if we focus on what we do want and what’s possible and what we can achieve, then we tend to gravitate towards that.”

You will attract everything that you require. If it’s money you need you will attract it. If it’s people you need you’ll attract it. You’ve got to pay attention to what you’re attracted to, because as you hold images of what you want, you’re going to be attracted to things and they’re going to be attracted to you. But it literally moves into physical reality with and through you. And it does that by law.”

business in a BIGGER way but don’t know how, feel stuck or
could use new tools or support.

Do You Need More? Are You Where You Know Isn’t Good for You?

April 16, 2018

peas in a pod

A new client hasn’t been paid for two and a half months from a part-time job. When she asks for her check, she gets a chilly response from the supervisor who says the company hasn’t paid them yet and to stop asking about it. She’ll get a call when they’re available.

Aside from being illegal, and we discussed actions to take, why was she putting up with that? The supervisor doesn’t treat her, her time or talent with respect. However, she ‘s full of pride that the people in the facility love my client and her work. She makes the supervisor look good.

My client realized that because she needed the money from this job, she was afraid to stand up for herself. She placed herself in a position where, even though she knew better, she’d been tolerating the supervisor who both belittles and takes advantage of her.

Then she got it. She quoted me a phrase that she frequently heard while growing up:

“Need more” will make you work where you’re not working properly.

In other words, if you’re needy, you’ll find yourself working or being in places that aren’t good for you, where you or your talents won’t be valued or appreciated.

Are there situations or people in your life that aren’t good for you, but you put up with them? If so, do you allow it because you feel you need them?

Neediness can make people do strange things.

Think about it. Perhaps there’s another way. You’re probably stronger than you realize.

TIP: What Were You Thinking and How It Affects You Now

December 5, 2016
 guy-on-bench
A woman I’ve known for decades, who used to be very involved with a spiritual practice, has been sending toxic emails.

She doesn’t check information to see if it’s true. Or they’re about disgruntled people who are challenged with a world that changed. Or she’ll take a positive message and skew it to be negative. And, I suppose, there are some valuable ideas, but to find them means wading through venom.

I replied to one of her emails that this is a season of unconditional love, and a way to it is being non-judgmental.

She answered, “Judgmental, unconditional love, spiritual beliefs… I definitely don’t fall under the PC situation… I have to keep it real for me, my truth. It may ruffle some people’s feathers but that’s what this world is for, experiences and finding out what we need to find out.”

Bah humbug. The spirit of Christmas is now just another way of being politically correct.

Gee, and here I thought that, underneath it all, the world is for Love.

How does her worldview affect her?

In other emails, she shared that she can get depressed.

Yet, she feels compelled that others see life through her passionate yet angry rants – under the guise of keeping it real and telling her truth.

In the past, I would listen endlessly to people’s sad stories and emotionally charged viewpoints.  I thought I was helping by holding space for them to share and be heard.

I’ve since learned that an extended focus on what doesn’t work is a disservice and adds fuel to a perspective that caused them distress. It only helps them to pick up momentum toward what they don’t like, which affects their health, finances, relationships or happiness.

This includes not validating sob stories I might conjure up about what I don’t like in my life or what’s not working the way I think it should.

If gently redirecting the conversation doesn’t work, I do what I can to exit with grace and ease.

My clients learn how to notice resistance and shift it, too.

To live with good feeling mojo is a simple concept. Feel good.

The more you think and feel good, the better your life becomes… your dreams magically start coming true.

This weekend, I had the privilege of being invited on a trip to enjoy rock art (pictographs the ancients painted on cave walls).

Although we were rained out from that part of our trip, we enjoyed a wonderful walk, a night in a cabin perched above the lower Pecos River plus a day in Mexico.

I listened to stories of how the rock art and area in and around Seminole Canyon State Park in south Texas transformed my friend after a personal family tragedy.

Since then, not only is she deeply passionate about rock art, she breathes a respect and reverence for life.

As a result, she’s created a loving life in alignment with her values and goals.

Your TIP is to observe your thinking and notice how it’s affecting you.

I’ll give you a BIG hint.

If there are parts of your life and business you don’t like as well as how it’s affecting you, observe what you’re thinking and feeling.

I know it can seem crazy, that forces beyond your control are the real culprit, but your energy is at the core. Like energy attracts like energy. Only you choose your perspective.

The good news is that wherever you are and for however long it took you to get here, regardless of how hopeless or frustrating aspects of your life, finances, business, relationships or health may seem at times, you can change it.

Look for what brings you joy instead of addictively focusing on anxiety, pain, suffering, who done you wrong or who’s doing something wrong.

This includes what feels unchangeable, like actor Michael J. Fox who went from having “everything” to having Parkinson’s.

He turned it around from the worse experience to the best wake up call. It changed his life for the better.

P.T. Barnum went bankrupt and didn’t enter the circus business until age 60.There goes the “I’m too old” argument of limitation.

By 1983, the millions made by boxer, heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist George Foreman were almost gone. He turned it around. In 2014, Foreman topped The Richest list of top athlete entrepreneurs of all time.

What isn’t working for you?

You can realign your thinking and feeling so your biggest challenge becomes your biggest asset.

You’ll feel happier, too.

By the way, I just returned from a Christmas concert. At the end, the chorus formed a circle around the entire audience and sang, “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.” It’s quite a concept, especially during the holiday season.

I work with people who long to share their gifts or business in a BIGGER way but don’t know how or feel stuck. I help them ignite their Soul’s goals and be richly compensated doing what they love.

TIP: You’re a Winner

June 22, 2016

Im a Winner

Did you ever have any of these thoughts?

I’m not good enough. If people knew what I feel behind my confident smiles or where I came from, they’d be surprised. I’m afraid of failure and success. I’m waiting for the other shoe to fall – yeah, it’s good now but it probably won’t last. What if I make (another) mistake and lose it all? There’s either not enough money or, when I have enough, I’m afraid it’s going to run out. Maybe there’s something wrong with me.

I’ve lost count of how many people have told me stories like this.

A woman was burdened with similar perspectives throughout her life. They played in the background of her thoughts like a persistent, low-grade fever.

Even though her business more than quadrupled in four months, she was afraid of not having enough time and that her success might be short-lived.

During her Belief Release session, she woke up to her personal power and let go of clouded thinking.

How? She replaced doubt, limit, fear, anxiety and lack through her power of choice, perspective, love and putting her Essence in charge.

She felt happy and freer than ever before.

Your TIP is to recognize YOU’RE A WINNER RIGHT NOW!

Take one instance where you don’t feel good about your life or business, and change your perspective.

Reframe you and your situation from being a loser to a winner.

What did you learn?

How did you become stronger?

Choose to let go of the past.

Now, with you as the artist of your business and life, what do you choose? What does your ideal business or life look like?

When you clear out your inner cobwebs, you’re able to hear the inner whisperings of your Essence and receive guidance and direction for your next step and greater success.

Stop listening to others’ fears and limitations about yourself that you may have believed were true.

Recognize you were born a winner regardless of circumstances then or now… and YOU STILL ARE A WINNER!

This is a new moment.

Go forth and create something wonderful.
