The Life-Changing Way to Have Gratitude

November 28, 2022

Don’t dedicate only one day of the year to be grateful.

Here are quotes Wallace D. Wattles, 1860 – 1911, wrote in his classic book The Science of Getting Rich.

Wattles was the inspiration for the book and movie The Secret.

It’s a key to manifest whatever you choose in your life, too!

There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.

A thought, in this substance, produces the thing that is imaged by the thought.

A person can form things in his thought, and, by impressing his thought upon Formless Substance, can cause the thing he thinks about to be created…

Our gratitude liberates an energy within us that immediately expands into the Formless Substance, where it is instantly returned to us in kind…

And if your gratitude is strong and constant, the reaction in Formless Substance will be strong and continuous; the movement of the things you want will be always toward you…

It is necessary, then, to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you; and to give thanks continuously.

Wallace D. Wattles, The Science of Getting Rich

What’s the life-changing way to have gratitude?

During a group discussion of the above-mentioned book by Wattles, I suddenly heard this quote in a new way. It’s not just occasional gratitude, it’s living in a state of gratitude – continuous gratitude.

Gratitude, continuous gratitude, will change your life!

I made a decision for this moment, and then extending it to this minute (more moments), this hour, today, this week, lifetime and beyond, to give thanks continuously.

Will you join me?

Inevitably, I will get distracted from my choice to live in continuous gratitude. I do know that the more I practice it, my life continues to improve.

However, when I catch myself straying into the hinterlands, I’m not going to get upset with myself. I can shift my focus away from lack, worries, any kind of pain, my pity pot, complaining or what’s not working to being grateful for what’s working and what I have, instead.

It won’t matter how many times I fall off my wagon of continuous gratitude; I can always get back on.

So can you.

Sometimes all you need is to look at life from a different perspective.

Happy Days of Continuous Gratitude and Giving Thanks!

3 Quotes on Gratitude – Willie, Eckhart and Buddha

November 21, 2022

A simple message. No sticky notes needed. Be grateful…. even those things that you can’t imagine how there’s anything good about them. There’s always a silver lining, and you have the ability to find it.

Something shifts making the way for something better.. if not now, maybe later. There’s always something to learn. Observe.

I’m grateful to you! Thanks for reading my blogs.

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.”
Willie Nelson

If you’re looking for an abundance of business, money, love, support or health, focusing on what’s working with gratitude will bring you more of what’s working.

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
Eckhart Tolle

Gratitude Causes You to Feel Good

Especially during this time of giving thanks, take time to reflect on what you’re grateful for. The more you’re grateful, the more good feeling mojo you create. The more good feeling mojo you have, the more success you experience.

“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.”
Buddha

NEW: Trying to Fix, Rescue, Teach Others? Please Stop!

November 14, 2022

My linen closet after I edited it.

Earlier this year, I watched a show called The Home Edit on Netflix. It inspired me to massively reorganize my home.

I let go of 2/3rds of my clothes and shoes. I threw away bags of stuff, sold some, and brought countless carloads to Goodwill.

For a variety of reasons, they no longer fit who I am now.

I categorized what was left (grouping similar items together in the same area). I bought containers so everything on my shelves had their own place. I stepped back to look at all my rooms, closets, drawers and cupboards with an eye for them to be aesthetically pleasing. The end goal is to maintain the system.

There’s not a paper on my desktops.

Following was the yard edit. I cut and dumped the equivalent of truckloads of pruned trees and branches.

Months of this focus led me to ask questions about editing my life.

How was I using my time? Why were individuals in my life? I paid attention to attitudes, beliefs, patterns, actions of myself and others. When did I feel unhappy or stressed? What did I like or just put up with?

When I honestly paused to see, I admitted to myself what didn’t serve me.

I saw where I was taking care of others above taking care of me. For logical reasons: they needed me, my help, something.

…and regularly being on that vibrational frequency was interfering with my ability to create a life that I choose.

It was time for me to draw the line and stop tolerating the vibrational dissonance.

Use whatever excuse you can to vibrate in harmony with those things you’ve been saying you want. And when you do, these things that are a vibrational equivalent flow into your experience in abundance… That which is like unto itself is drawn.

Why did some drain my energy?

I learned from YouTuber Richard Grannon regarding narcissists that “you’re dealing with a performance to elicit a response from you that caused you to serve them.”

Whaaat?

Some people try to pull you in, to do things for them and satisfy their needs, with their stories, neediness or emotions in order to elicit a response from you. This is how they caused you to serve them, in ways you wouldn’t had done if they hadn’t played on your emotions somehow.

They may want your money, your time, your stuff, your sex, your advice, your doing things for them, your emotional support, and on and on.

At the same time, they can be sooo grateful to you for helping them. Yes. It feels good to make a difference by helping others. Until their needs surface again. And again.

I realized I wasn’t helping. They were using me as a band-aid.

Are you rescuing or trying to fix others? You might believe you should do this to be a loving and good friend or family member. However, you may be holding others back from learning their lessons!

If you try to “teach” them, aka rescue or fix them instead of being an example, you may be holding them back spiritually.

Consequence: they keep coming back to you for help, and your enabling doesn’t motivate them to learn their lessons.

Ask yourself. Is the relationship 50-50 or more like 90-10, you giving more than receiving?

You can let go of the toxicity and drama in your life. Maybe you’ve outgrown that, and it’s no longer a fit.

Of course, be willing to extend a helping hand!! However, if your hand gets tired from the repetitive performance, here’s an option.

HAVE COMPASSION. BLESS OTHERS.

LET THEM KNOW YOU BELIEVE IN THEM TO FIND A WAY THROUGH THEIR SITUATION.

BUT DON’T DO THE WORK FOR THEM.

Be empowered. Happy. Surround yourself with supportive people who love you for who you are, not because of how you can serve them.

Trying Hard to Make Things Happen? Is It Working? There is an easier way.

November 7, 2022

Stop trying. Relax and be open to receive.

Have you noticed that when you:

  • push to make things happen
  • try hard to get something
  • have to have things work out in a certain way
  • feel desperate or discouraged
  • get frustrated if things don’t work out the way they should…

…what you want eludes you or is hard to get?

Other times, often when you casually say you want something, it appears effortlessly.

If a door opens that allows things to come to you, pushing against it only closes your ability to be open to receive.

The same principle applies to creating your ideal life, business and work, too.

If someone is chasing you for business, to be their friend or lover, to give them more time with you than you’re willing to share, what are you inspired to do?

If their energy is intense, needy, negative or draining, what do you want to do?

Run. Far away.

Your dreams and goals are here, now, waiting for you.
Don’t  chase them. Be willing and open to receive them or something better.

Amidst a sea of people at a month-long, holiday event held on six acres, I found myself face to face with a former client. I’d been thinking about reconnecting with her as we hadn’t talked for a couple of years.

We enjoyed catching up by phone the following day. At the end of our conversation, she inquired about my current business offerings. Poised to launch a new, career direction, she was ready to let go of limiting beliefs that could hold her back.

She’ll start her coaching program with me this month.

Right place. Right time. Right energy. In the flow. Great results.

No struggle. No trying. Being a magnet for intentions and good things by relaxing and being open to receive.

Note: this is 180 opposite from worrying about “What if things don’t work out?”

Life is magical when we allow it.

We’ve been trained to think no pain, no gain. Do more. Work harder.

Yes, actions do produce results. Inspired action. Not action based on fear, loss or neediness.

Releasing is one of the highest and most effective actions. This means letting go of anxiety, doubt and fear as well as other limiting thoughts and emotions.

Think tuning fork emitting a vibration. This frequency naturally harmonizes with complementary notes.

Relaxing and trusting open us to inspired action which allows success to occur naturally.

Your action has nothing to do with your abundance! Your abundance is a response to your vibration. Of course, your belief is part of your vibration. So if you believe that action is part of what brings your abundance, then you’ve got to unravel that.
