TIP: Free, Fun and Fruitful

August 9, 2016

The Apollo 14 Saturn V Space Vehicle, carrying Astronauts Alan B. Shepard, Jr., Stuart A. Roosa, and Edgar D. Mitchell, lifted off at 4:03 p.m. EST on January 31, 1971, from the Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A, to begin the fourth manned lunar landing mission

Tired of struggling for the good you deserve? Would you love to have the keys to launch your goals and dreams to a level beyond your wildest imagination or at least better than where you are now?

Here’s your opportunity to learn how.

Would you enjoy feeling this way?

“It never ceases to amaze me that I manifest my goals so consistently. I’m grateful to see how much progress I’ve made. I’ve accomplished a lot and laid a foundation. All the pieces are falling in place. A whole bunch of stuff is on the brink of completion – the hard work is behind me. It’s working!” LH

Why is it that some people, like Realtor Lora Herring, have a magic touch?

Week after week, I hear stories about people’s miracles and successes that are astounding.

I don’t talk about some because they seem unbelievable, like the woman I wrote about on a May TIP: Never Give Up, Part 2.

Things were so bad, she considered letting go of everything, including her business and home, and moving to Mexico.

Three months later, not only is her business booming. An entrepreneur with a $$$ track record invited her to spearhead a concept they’re now pitching to industry giants with a detailed plan to generate a NINE figure income!

Never give up! Your life and fortunes can turn around quickly in the most unexpected ways.

How can YOU turn your precious dreams to reality?

TIP: How to Stay Motivated

January 11, 2016

What's Your Why

What would you like your year to bring? More money and time? Smoother family life? Fun and friends? Relaxation and vacations? Better health? Big dreams coming true?

Without knowing “your why,” the reason your goal is important to you, your motivation can become like a wind-up toy that ran out of its wind-up. Soon after, you return to the same ole, same ole way you’ve always done things. Add to this frustration and disappointment.

More money is appealing. But money for money’s sake may not provide enough incentive to create more cha-ching in your life.

In the movie Joy, Jennifer Lawrence’s character was highly motivated not to quit. Against all odds, she dug deep and found reasons to keep going. Because she knew her “why,” she found a way out of overwhelming failure to experience success.

Interestingly, sometimes a reason to accomplish goals is a gut-level determination to take care of yourself or stop playing small. The line is drawn in the sand. You’re no longer going to tolerate what’s not working. You’re inspired.

Following are excerpts from my Resolved for Results course to help you stay motivated and get in touch with your why – the soul of your goal:

Have you ever desired something and, when you got it, realized it wasn’t what you really wanted? You asked for a specific outcome but didn’t clarify the soul of your goal, its essence.

Well, that explains the divorce rate.

Have you ever desired something, got something else instead, and then realized it was better than what you asked for? You tapped into the soul of your goal.

Sally’s ideal scenario included very specific details, including marrying a 6’ 2” red- haired man who owned a 10,000 acre ranch.

I asked if she would like to have several employees around all day because, with a spread that size, she could attract a working ranch.

That was absolutely not her intention. She wanted the acreage for privacy. She could have received what she asked for and not been happy… along with a man who fit her description but didn’t share her values. She didn’t mention any.

When I looked for a house, the soul of my goal included a low maintenance, wooded area offering privacy but not seclusion.

I bought a home at the end of a cul-de-sac in a country subdivision with a Xeriscaped lawn. It’s surrounded by trees, a greenbelt in the back, and a fenced-in 1000 acre, exotic wildlife ranch next to a neighboring tree-filled lot.

Have you pursued a goal, got discouraged or sidetracked, then lost energy to keep going? If you don’t have a compelling reason, “your why” that underlies your goal, it’s easy to get off-track, lose motivation, and quit.

TIP: How to Stay Motivated

Be still and go within. Ask your soul why your goal is important to you.  Intend to get an answer. Now write about it so that you tap into your gut-level reason of why you choose this. Write so authentically that it can bring tears to your eyes.

Your brain may not be able to fathom how your goals can occur. However, if your intention is in alignment with the soul of your goal, miracles happen.

Be open to receive.

Your Ship Didn’t Sail – That Wasn’t Your Ship!

November 10, 2015

Ever feel that your ship has sailed?

Aka, you missed your opportunity. You blew it. Circumstances are stacked against you, and now what? Humpty Dumpty can’t be put together again. Do not pass Go because your life is one big frustration that’s taking a nosedive from a high diving board into a shallow pool.

Forget this mental noise. Dump all these beliefs because they’re so not true.

You can bounce back from wherever you are, only not in the way you probably thought. (It’s a blessing although it may not seem it.) There are other financial opportunities. That wasn’t the only person or deal in the world. You’re not too old or too stupid. You can get out of a hole if you stop digging.

Despite appearances, there are more ships at YOUR port. You’ll see them if you stop looking at the ones that left.

The universe isn’t limited and neither are you! Life isn’t designed for you, your business, your choices, and the loonies to be perfect. Life is designed for you to grow and expand. This is how shiFt happens.

You have countless chances.

If your dream “ticket to paradise” was eaten by the dog, or you screwed things up so badly that there’s no turning back, different but better opportunities are waiting for you. And you’re all the wiser because of it.

We learn; we move on. Exit stage left the drama king or queen in us who plays the victim as we beat ourselves up or feel sorry for ourselves. Our good takes its bow on center stage as we open and are willing to receive something better.

So, if you missed my talk last week (or would like to hear an even better version), you can see me plus network at NWABC – Northwest Austin Business Connections – this Wednesday, November 11, 11:30 AM – 1 PM.

That’s where you’ll hear my presentation: From Burnt Out to Turned On – Be Richly Compensated Doing What You Love Faster and Easier than You Dreamed Possible!

Come to Mangia Pizza in Gracy Farms Shopping Center 12001 Burnet Rd., Ste D • Austin, TX 78758 has more details.

I’ve relaunched my life so much, often like a phoenix rising from the ashes, that I lost count of the times I rebooted emotionally, financially and physically. I’m sure you’ve had your share, too.

Lao Tzu said: “New Beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.” Got it?  They aren’t failures. In the words of former Navy Seal Richard “Mack” Machowicz: Not dead. Can’t quit.

If not for one of the seemingly endless, painful times of my life, I would neither be coaching nor writing you now. My experiences gave me new direction. They groomed me to do what I do well and draw on my history of accomplishments more meaningfully.

What gifts did your challenges bring  you? Learn more about my story and how what I discovered can help you find your other ships by joining us this Wednesday.

TIP: Your Ship Didn’t  Sail – That Wasn’t Your Ship!

The stories you tell yourself about your business and life are what create your feelings of loss, failure, frustration, suffering… or success.

To see the bigger picture with a more positive viewpoint, look back to a time when things went you-know-where in a handbasket. What good came from it?

No, don’t think about last week’s mishaps or unresolved issues you haven’t been able to wrap your brain (or heart) around.

Look back far enough so you have the benefit of hindsight without the emotional charge.

If you’re stuck, instead of tuning into your defiant side, ask the wise part of you for perspective.

Learn. Be confident knowing that life is on your side. Good comes out of seeming bad just as fire brings necessary ecological change. Google “benefits of fire” if you doubt this.

How has your business or you emerged better for it? What ships did you board instead? If you can come on Wednesday, hearing about mine may put yours in perspective.

TIP of the Week: How A Client Is Making $43K This Month

November 3, 2015

Here’s a great (and profitable) update on a recent TIP: How To Make Your Life What YOU Want.

It started like this:

“During his short ride to the office, a client’s daily routine was looking for annoying drivers. After starting the day with this momentum, his attention shifted to work.”

“When asked to share recent business success, his reply was, ‘It’s hard to find wins…mostly going backwards.'” He was working on deals, but they were filled with complications and some looked like they’d fall apart.

“He recognized his perspective wasn’t helping and reframed it. He continued working on the deals but let go of the emotional stress and negative attitude.”

Successes TWO weeks later, a partial list sent to his mastermind team:

  • Partnering with another agent on a $1.7M listing. The other agent is the lead. I will get 30%, which equals a $550K listing for me.
  • I expect to close 6 transactions in November for $1.8 million. One closing set for December.
  • Listed a home for $199K on Friday…expect to sell this week, which would be added to the December closings.
  • Got two buyer referrals the past two days from past clients.
  • November take home will be around $43,000!

He turned his business around when he:

  1. Stopped complaining, feeling discouraged and fighting against what he didn’t like.
  2. Got quiet, went to a clear space within and discovered new solutions.
  3. Believed his deals would work and he’d be successful.
  4. Looked for what was working instead of dwelling on what wasn’t.
  5. Aligned his thinking and feelings with mastermind team support and concepts.

TIP: How A Client Is Making $43K This Month Choose two ideas from this list and apply them to making your goals and dreams come true.

TIP of the Week: How To Skate Through Life

October 27, 2015

Wouldn’t you rather skate through life than be burdened by it?

My dream this morning gave me a roadmap how.

Let’s say you wanted to ice skate in winter, but there wasn’t a place to do it.

However, you had a place where water could be added to create a pond.

So, you filled that space with an available water source.

Gave it time to freeze.

Now you can skate.

Makes sense. But what does this have to do with anything?

Where’s your focus?

Mulling over problems is how we believe we’re being responsible, but that’s looking in the wrong direction for answers. Habits can be hard to break. You have choices. You could:

  • whine about not being able to skate because there isn’t a place to do it.
  • blame wildlife for drinking the water that could’ve frozen.
  • feel sorry for yourself or tell your story so others can feel sorry for you.

Regardless, you still can’t skate.

You can’t have a problem without already having the answer!

If you keep looking at the problem and feeling bad about it, you won’t see the solution.

You have a place within, your Essence, that already has the solution – the space for the pond.

If you’re open to receive, your inner guidance will fill you with answers – your available water.

If you allow answers time to transform from fluid to solid – thoughts and feelings materialize. Focus on good feelings.

Here’s where Resolved for Results Mastermind Principle #3 comes in handy:

I trust my Self and listen to the voice within.

Breathe. Listen.

What if you stay loyal to the what-if-it-doesn’t-work thinking?

Same ole, same ole. Success goes up and down like a see saw. Frustration, anger, blame, struggle, complications and disappointment. Familiar? Here’s what else you can do.

TIP of the Week: How to Skate Through Life Notice how you greet situations.

Is it with fear, doubt, discouragement or other negative feelings?

Instead, focus on any positive experiences you’ve ever had about this.

If you don’t have one, imagine how you’d like it to be.

Before a sales presentation or any transaction, remember ones that went great. It doesn’t matter if you’ve put your foot in your mouth a hundred times before. But once, your long lost uncle bought a candy bar you were selling in grade school, and you felt happy. Go to those thoughts and feelings.

Feeling weak in the knees because you’re about to talk with someone? Recall moments of empowering interactions.

If you’re used to feeling the other shoe is going to drop, feeling good may seem downright unnatural. With practice and positive results, you’ll feel more comfortable.

Feeling good IS your natural state. Forget what you may have heard otherwise. That was misery wanting company

My gift to you - BELIEVE

My gift to you – BELIEVE

I’m offering you and your friends a complementary 60+ minute Soulgoals Session, and here’s why.

There’s a shift of consciousness taking place now, and the old ways aren’t working as they did in the past. This is true in business, finances,  relationships, how you treat your body, attitudes… everything. Have you noticed that those challenges, issues and emotions you played ostrich about are now coming out of the sand? You’re not the only one.

Last week I had the privilege of giving several free Soulgoal Sessions. Though individual stories differed, underneath people are making transitions from status quo to some unknown, new way of doing things. And to make the shift, get unstuck or regain footing after changing, some things need to be cleared out, new directions clarified, and often times people needed to get their mojo back as well as belief in themselves.

The struggle or discomfort or inner nudging grew so much that something had to shift which was demonstrated by people feeling:

  • Stuck
  • Unfulfilled
  • Stagnant
  • Frustrated
  • Hopeless
  • Afraid
  • Confused about direction
  • Paralyzed from not knowing what to do
  • Out of balance
  • Ready to get out of survival mode
  • They needed help from health to finances to relationships to their dreams
  • They longed to express themselves and share their gifts with others
  • It’s time to deal with stuff they’ve been putting off.

Mind you, this is from talented and brilliant people (even though life sometimes left them so psyched out or beat up emotionally that they didn’t feel that way). These include light workers; business owners; employees; empty nesters; parents or children dealing with their families; people with dreams; and successful people who know it’s time for a change and to grow.

Every 40 minute Soulgoals Session lasted longer – I couldn’t leave people hanging. But in that time we cast light on shadows of what they’d been dealing with frequently for a year or more.

During Soulgoals Sessions we:

  • Clarified goals and vision
  • Developed a 3-step action plan
  • Uncovered challenges
  • Masterminded
  • Directly addressed what they’re dealing with

In addition to lots of gratitude, the results?

  • Clearer on direction – even if it changes as they move forward
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to take action on their plan
  • Joy, happiness, feeling free and relief
  • Feeling good about themselves and rediscovering their inner spark
  • Someone to talk with
  • Feeling validated and very heard
  • Getting out of their head and circular thinking while gaining perspective
  • Feeling unconditionally supported
  • Empowered
  • Knowing they’re not crazy
  • Deeper understanding of themselves
  • And one made a commitment to get married within hours after the session!

Additionally, what came up is fear from breaking out of an old cycle as well as recognizing the value of support to walk through them.

As one person said, “it’s easy to see how to help others, but how to help myself is another thing. That’s why the teachers from the movie/book The Secret have coaches.”

Because of the results, very appreciative kudos I received that showed me a need, and requests to help friends, I’m extending my FREE Soulgoal Sessions to 60+ minutes on selected days for the next two weeks. My gift to you and yours.

To learn more and book your FREE session, click here:

This offer is available to everyone, including past clients. You’re welcome to send this invitation to your friends who may be interested.

If you can’t make these times, contact me for other options. My intention is to help.

This could be your or your friends’ answer to prayers.

If you’re getting an inner nudge, I encourage you to take action on your inspiration and guidance.

You have gifts to give to the world. I support you in sharing them and making your dreams come true.

September 14, 2012

Willie Nelson sings about life going from one crazy thing to another in his lyrics “last thing I needed first thing this morning was to have you walk out on me.” Welcome to what my world – was.

It started innocently a few months ago with my cat waking me up daily at 4:45 AM to go out. I couldn’t get back to sleep, didn’t stop to take naps, and stayed up until midnight. Too many activities and long days fried my adrenals, and I had to take a couple of weeks off from work. With my energy at its lowest and pain from a jammed hip bone at its highest, I received shocking news about a friend that left me reeling.

Because of my exhaustion I was more susceptible to things affecting me, and the downward spiral began. My computer broke. I ordered a new PC only to learn most of my address book had to be manually replaced – this saga continued for five weeks. My AC stopped working in 100° weather. Meantime, my cell phone went awry, and I missed a group coaching call. My headset, mouse and income went kaput, and even my toilet clogged. To say working was a challenge is an understatement.

I kept positive by going to sleep and waking up focused on gratitude and journaled about what was working. However, during the day, I thought about what wasn’t working.

I felt sad resignation as I listened almost imperceptibly to my deceased mother’s mantra “if it’s not one thing, it’s another.” An old program of what-else-can-go-wrong ran in the background.

After a while I lost interest in bouncing back and thought I’d ride it out to the bottom.

Imagine going to work wearing a great pair of shoes and tie or handbag… dressed in shabby pajamas. Likewise, I thought I was upbeat because I gave verbiage to being positive and practiced gratitude in the morning and night. However, my beat up attitude was running like a computer program in the background.

Sandwiched throughout the day between my positive focus, I visualized and felt what I didn’t want – what next? I used my attention and depleted energy to spin around what was wrong instead of what I chose to happen. So, I created more problems.

God was neither punishing or ignoring me. Life didn’t have it in for me. There wasn’t a metaphoric lesson or karma catching up. I wasn’t cursed, and Satan wasn’t interfering. I wasn’t doing anything wrong that needed a pause to redirect. I was enough and doing enough, and I wasn’t doomed for failure. I wasn’t doing any of the gazillion conclusions people erroneously come to when they wonder why is this happening to me. Why aren’t things working?

No outside force was responsible for my life. I created results from my attitude and attention. The universe energetically matched my thoughts and feelings.

Energy flows where attention goes. What else can go wrong? My prayers were answered. The universe replied with new calamities.

Visualizing isn’t just what happens during a visualization exercise. It includes predominant feelings and thoughts during the day.

You, too, create more of what you focus on and can make new choices. You can do it without owies from beating yourself up or building a case to support the stories you tell about your life.

  1. Ask your inner powerhouse, your soul energy, to empower you.
  2. Visualize with feeling what you choose throughout the day.
  3. Take one step at a time.
  4. Find and implement ways to rest and take care of yourself instead of tolerating fatigue.
  5. Talk with supportive people. Masterminding your goals and dreams empowers you and refocuses your vision.

Remember, the fastest way out of a hole is to stop digging it. No matter what’s going on, it’s not going to last forever. This too shall pass.

Now it’s your turn. What are your predominant thoughts and feelings throughout the day? Any old programs running in the background? How about dumping those pjs?

February 26, 2012

Fear was my #1 issue during a personal growth session in 1991. It took us two hours to reveal what the particular fear was: everything! It took me years to recognize the insidious ways fear had molded my life since childhood.

Like attracts like. When the vibration of fear precedes actions, the results reflect that energy. What follows is lack; struggle; failure; disappointment; frustration; worry; anxiety; loss of business; financial hardship; and that dreadful fear of the future – “what if” things don’t work out and I face a fate worse than death?

Especially when I felt justified, being afraid was like adding sugar to yeast – “Just look at my circumstances. Anyone in them would feel this way.” Fear multiplied which attracted more things to be afraid about.

Once when my budget was screaming “ouch,” I feared missing a credit card payment. I knew someone this happened to, and her rates skyrocketed. My negative musings caused me unconsciously to pay my bill from an account where I don’t keep money… and I missed my payment.

My preoccupation with my imagined, financial ruin also had me overlook paying my water bill. I opened the top portion of a letter sent to alert me and set it aside thinking it was next month’s bill. Only after coming home from burying my cat who suddenly died and discovering my water had been turned off did I see it was a disconnect notice.

I had the money, but I was so consumed with fearing future disasters that I created them!  As Job said, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

You may have been pulled into the quicksand of fear. Once you start sliding  down its slippery slope, every frantic breath has you descend into it more deeply.

All my successes occurred when I let go of fear.

What is quicksand, and how does it work?

Quicksand is just a soupy mix of water trapped in ordinary sand that can’t escape, a liquefied soil that can’t support weight. It can occur almost anywhere if the right conditions are present. Contrary to being the frightening, bottomless pit portrayed in the movies, it rarely is deeper than a few feet.

Stepping into quicksand will not swallow you whole or suck you under, but thrashing about will force you deeper into it. The more you struggle, the faster you sink.

Most people who drown in quicksand or in any liquid are those who panic and start flailing their arms and legs. However, it’s easier to break free of it than you may think.

To escape you have to stop fighting. The key is not to panic.

The way out is to relax and make slow movements back to the surface. Because your body is less dense than the quicksand, your body will float to the surface if you let go of the struggle and relax. In fact, it’s easier to float on quicksand than on water. Once afloat, you can find your way back to safety.

Hmm, so similar to fear – how we drown in it and how we can escape its murky mud.

May 8, 2011

The top two tactics used by repressive regimes like China are to withhold information, which is harder to do with the internet, and stop people from expressing themselves.

What about your expression?

As tempting as it might be to tell your boss, clients, family or friends that they’re idiots in desperate need of an attitude adjustment, it may not be wise. There are times to speak up and times to put things in perspective.

However, if they cross the line by treating you like yesterday’s trash, then it’s time to express yourself… with as much grace and ease as possible.

When the pain of withholding is greater than the pain of dealing with a situation, it’s time to express yourself.

This awakening is now happening in the Middle East as expressed on a YouTube video Syria: stand with the protesters.  “They will not be butchered into silence and submission.”

They have chosen to live their own lives. The consequences of remaining silent surpassed the cost of speaking up. Many are paying a high price for the freedom to express.

I learned this lesson while existing in “a living hell.”

During my twenties, miserable because of a five-year relationship, I had a dream. For the longest time I kept its message on my dresser, although I didn’t know what it meant or how to do anything about it:

Find the Heart and Rescue It

It took me a while to realize I lived with a master manipulator. He knew my vulnerabilities and used them to intimidate and emotionally undermine me while bending me to his will.

I was bullied to let go of my business and with it financial freedom. He listened in on my phone conversations. He even left me stranded in a southwestern desert at 3 PM in the middle of the summer as he drove away – to return 30 minutes later.

The stress of what my life had become short-circuited my adrenals, thyroid, blood sugar and more – so I wasn’t even able to speak my words in the right order or have physical energy to move. Enabling this was a belief there was something wrong with me.

Human traffickers and terrorists use similar tactics. Intimidate with threats and play on low self-esteem to create a lack of confidence and dread. Immobilize people through fear of what might happen.

My unhappiness induced me to question and think.

There was his reality, but was it true?

How did I get here? I made a bad choice which put me on a sorrowful path. Regardless of good choices I subsequently made, I was still on the wrong path.

I had to listen to my heart, my truth, and not give my power away. Even if others claimed to know more or be an authority. Even at risk of losing worldly goods.

Even with my perceived HUMILIATION that, once again, I made a mistake. Actually, it was my ego’s need to protect this self-image that held me back the most.

My survival ultimately depended on my ability to listen to my guidance, speak up TO MYSELF and not be cowered into obedient “silence and submission.”

When I got honest with me, changes occurred which made my exit easy. I was packed and gone in three weeks.

What life do you want to live? Are you living it? Are you willing to honestly speak up, at least to yourself, and acknowledge what’s in your heart?

How can you access your truth? It’s always within you.

  1. Breathe deeply in a relaxed way.
  2. Call forth your soul. It’s not complicated to do. It’s another aspect of you!
  3. Request clear communication.
  4. Ask questions, such as:
  • Why are things happening in my life this way?
  • What’s the truth about a situation?
  • What’s the best direction for me to focus on now?
  • What action is best to take?

Write or draw your answers. Journaling is a useful tool to speak out and let you know what’s happening within.

If you need more clarity, ask again. If it doesn’t come in that moment, it will be made known to you at a better time.
