In the first week of its release in 1988, only one person bought a copy from a local bookseller of the now classic The Alchemist by Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho. One more copy was bought from that same person six months later. After one year, his publisher cancelled Coelho’s contract.

You Are a Winner!

Did you ever have any of these thoughts? I’m not good enough. If people knew what I feel behind my confident-looking smiles or where I came from, they’d be surprised. I’m afraid of failure and success. I’m waiting for the other shoe to fall – yeah, it’s good now but it probably won’t last. What if I make (another) mistake and lose it all? There’s either not enough money or, when I have enough, I’m afraid it’s going to run out. Maybe there’s something wrong with me.You’re not the only one with negative chatter in your head.
