How to Make Your Life Easier in 3 Seconds… and Einstein’s Opinion of the Universe

January 30, 2023

Ever start your day with dread? You don’t know how you’re going to get things done. Worried about what your spouse, boss or kids are going to say or do. Wondering how you’re going to get more money.

You may not mean it, but haphazard musings create intentions that cascade throughout your day. If you begin your morning with fear, anxiety or lack of direction, life will present you with a smorgasbord of experiences to match.

December was super busy for me. I launched my days thinking about my To Do list, random thoughts, what happened yesterday… just anything. The results were a crisis a week that miraculously got solved – but what a roller coaster ride.

I had taken a break from what I know works – a moment of quiet time to go within and consciously set intentions. As the year rolled in, I realized it made sense to take three seconds to say:

I CHOOSE TO BE IN DIVINE FLOW.

I often add a few extra game changers such as I choose divine ______, such as order, timing, communication, financial abundance, grace and ease or whatever could help me with current circumstances.

A couple of weeks later, I noticed how everyday had been astounding. I was still busy and productive yet not overwhelmed – as long as I remembered to choose to be in divine flow.

I also noticed that if I didn’t react, but instead let certain situations play out, even things that appeared to be two sandwiches short of a lunch, were fulfilling.

It’s mind boggling that saying these words, that only takes about three seconds, can manifest such profound results.

Imagine going to a ticket counter at a train station. If you reserve a seat on any train, you could land in an urban jungle. But divine flow is different. You’re allowing the life force to guide you, surrendering control to a Master Planner who has your best interest at heart.

If you question that life is supportive, consider these words:

“I think the most important question facing humanity is,’Is the universe a friendly place?’ This is the first and most basic question all people must answer for themselves.”

“If we decide that the universe is neither friendly nor unfriendly and that God is essentially ‘playing dice with the universe,’ then we are simply victims to the random toss of the dice and our lives have no real purpose or meaning.”

“God does not play dice with the universe.”

Albert Einstein

Your life isn’t random. You’re not a victim. You have the ability to consciously design your life with the divine.

Don’t believe it? Discover this co-creation by running an experiment. Choose to be in divine flow daily for two weeks. Not just any flow – not your neighbor’s or that of people at work. Divine Flow. Affirm with an attitude of faith not desperation. If you forget in the morning, do it later. I’ve now included it as a non-negotiable way to start my day, right up there with going to the bathroom.

Now it’s your turn to “row, row, row your boat gently down the stream.  Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily. Life is but a dream.” It’s a dream you’re creating.

Want People to Like You More?

January 9, 2023

Electromagnetic Wave

“Everything in life is vibration.”

Albert Einstein

I reconnected with an old friend who told me he had been in a funk for quite a while because of events that caused him to question himself.

This led to a discussion about how our energy attracts people and circumstances and how gratitude can shift the way we feel.

A couple of months later, he told me this:

“When I’m positive, I’m like a magnet, and more people want to talk with me. When I was in a funk and not smiling, people avoided me.

“I went to a conference where I was overflowing with good energy and made new friends.

“It’s interesting how it works. This positivity thing is attractive to others. It makes sense because I wouldn’t want to talk to someone who’s sitting in a corner and scowling, unless it was a friend. Then I’d ask, ‘What’s up?’ Otherwise, I’d stay away.

“When there’s nothing there for people, why would they come up to you?”

If you want others to like you more, begin by being aware of the energy you‘re emanating.

In most people’s lives, there are things that could go better. Maybe you want a better job or improvements in your business or you’re ready for a change of fortune or you’d like to enjoy life more.

It may be too big of a leap to go from funk to feeling good, but you can do it in increments by focusing on simple things.

Feel good because you have a roof over your head or can read, and build from there. What you take for granted would be a profound blessing for many.

Start to feel good by making peace with your current circumstances, and watch how your life begins to change for the better.

You may find that annoying people will find your positive energy annoying and eventually not stick around, but others will be attracted to you like a magnet.

How do you know what energy you’re emanating? Tune in to how you feel.

Not feeling good is a sign that you’re in opposition to how your inner Essence is guiding you. It’s a clue that your thinking and perspective are off track.

How can you change it?

“Hold the faith and purpose of increase… in such a way that every person who comes in contact with you… will feel the power of purpose radiating from you; so that everyone will get the sense of advancement and increase from you.”

Lose Something? Money, Keys, Your Mind?

June 28, 2022

Find your treasure at the end of the rainbow

A woman, accompanied by a supermarket employee, apologized when she bumped into me. As she frantically swooshed by me again moments later, she turned her head to tell me that she was looking for her keys. I responded: “Say ‘God knows, and God shows.’” She saw her keys within seconds next to a weight scale!

A relative misplaced a big check with several zeroes on it for a couple of weeks. When she called me about it, I told her to repeat God knows, and God shows. Within two hours, I received a message that she found it on top of a dresser drawer.

By the way, you can use language like “the universe knows, and the universe shows,” if this feels more comfortable for you.

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
Albert Einstein

Why saying God knows, and God shows works.

  1. Using a practical application of Einstein’s quote, if your thinking is on loss or what you can’t find, then it’s not on the wavelength of finding. It’s like being on an AM station and looking for FM. You can’t find it because looking and finding are different frequencies.
  2. God knows, and God shows is a tool to let go and surrender. It allows you to let go of focusing on lack (what you don’t have or can’t find), and open to receive a higher energy to “solve our problems.” Think of it as surrendering a caterpillar’s perspective so you can enjoy a butterfly’s view.
  3. You release the need to find something, which often comes with energies such as anxiety attached to it. As like attracts like, neediness attracts more reasons to feel fearful or frustrated. (Oh no, what if I can’t find it? The what ifs are fear-based traps to keep you wanting but not having.)

Even though it seems that it shouldn’t be this way, you’ll get more of whatever you’re feeling, not what you say you want.

God knows, and God shows allows a greater power to refocus you and override limiting beliefs, such as “I don’t know where it is“ or “I can’t find it.”

Don’t take my word for it. Experiment. Use these words while being open to the possibility of getting results instead of being closed with a stubborn defiance of “prove it.”

Let’s expand the application to money, jobs, business and life.

Looking for new business, your ideal job or to make more money? Don’t know where to find it? God knows, and God shows. RELAX. You are now on the wavelength to attract new clients, greater wealth and more opportunities.

Feel stuck about anything? Feel like you’re losing your mind? Instead of wallowing in disappointment or any less than positive emotion, you’ll get on track faster in all areas of your life by proclaiming, “God knows, and God shows.”

Follow the trail to the pot of gold at the end of your rainbow, one step at a time.

Happy manifesting.

What If You Run out of Time?

May 24, 2021

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT’S relativity.

Albert Einstein

“I have no control over my life,” protested a workshop participant angrily. The implication that we can have control of our lives seemed preposterous and brought fierce resistance.

“My life is governed by this,” she indignantly proclaimed while holding the Metro bus schedule. “I have to be on time for the bus if I want to go anywhere, but I can’t control if the bus is late, early, or will show up at all.”

The bus schedule is how she relates to much of life as she relies on public transportation.

Another participant chimed in firmly and gently. “To get control of your life, of your heart, and what you really want to do, you have to let go of the bus schedule. You are greater than the bus schedule. This is a metaphor for your life; it is ruled by time and when and if you can catch a bus rather than by what you really want.”

When asked at the beginning of the workshop about her heart’s desire she replied: “I don’t care. Why bother? What I want doesn’t matter because I’m not going to get it anyway.”

One of the interactive workshop games disappointed her. As we had a half an hour left, she felt pressured and therefore unable to do the exercise. She felt we were running out of time. Her life largely revolved around time… and her lack of self-worth.

She was so caught up in her whirlwind of fear regarding time that she couldn’t see that this was the issue holding her back from gaining clarity or achieving what she wanted.

“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.”

Albert Einstein

Life is a mirror. Little did I know as I watched this dear woman grapple with the “reality” of time that time was the very issue that saddened me all day.

As I looked past the smoke and mirrors of a decision I made earlier, I realized that my pain stemmed from an underlying fear of wasting my time.

Subconsciously, I worried that I might lose time if I made a mistake, as I felt I had done in the past, so I wanted to cut my losses with anything that looked as if I might be making an error in judgment.

Everything is in divine order. Even if I made different decisions in the past, I would not be any further along than I am at this moment because I needed the lessons I learned to do what I am doing now.

We are where we are meant to be, and when we realize this at a deep level, a great peace and understanding are felt.

Time is another form of separation, and it holds us back from living life fully now.

When we start to separate things into segments and compare ourselves to others or a fabricated timeline, we separate from our hearts and living in the present moment.

Our perception of time can be a facet of fear.

The movie Sliding Doors starring Gwyneth Paltrow demonstrated the What If scenario by playing out two timelines simultaneously. What if a character made a different choice at a given moment in time? The journey took a different route but where they ended up remained the same.

Quantum mechanics reveals that time can vary!

Einstein postulated that time and distance are not fixed!
Speed can remain the same even though distance and time change.

Einstein called the slowing of time due to motion time dilation.

v = d / t
velocity (speed) equals distance traveled divided by time

The PBS website from the show Nova on Time Travel states “the closer we came to traveling at the speed of light, the more time would slow down for us relative to someone not moving.”

When we consider that an inner light is at the essence of who we are, this statement becomes more intriguing.

Once I left a half an hour later than intended for a talk I gave. I needed the extra time to place hand outs on 50 chairs and organize other aspects of my presentation.

I knew if I used the mantra on the 45-minute drive, “I’m late; I’m late,” I would have been an emotional wreck by the time I arrived.

Instead I told my chattering mind, “I have all the time I need.” When I got there I discovered that one of my clients, who regularly attends this group and likes to arrive early, was available and very happy to assist me.

I had more than enough time.

Time is malleable. You can choose to change your self-imposed concept of time in your life.

Start by re-evaluating one area of your life where you feel you do not have enough time. Look at it from the viewpoint of a wise friend and reframe your perspective to one where you have all the time you need… and won’t run out of it.

Feel Like There’s No Way Out? These 4 Pointers Can Guide You.

January 25, 2021

Once I had a dream where I was in a room with no windows or doors and seemingly no way out.  I searched the walls for a way to leave, but there wasn’t any.

Then I discovered that there was a stairway in the middle of the room that took me to a higher level, and that room was filled with lots of windows, doors and light.

Albert Einstein is paraphrased to have said:

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”

Feeling stuck in a maze is an emotional response that can leave you feeling there’s no way out. Instead, you can find a way to untangle yourself from whatever has gotten you balled up and take productive action. Here are four pointers that can help:

1. You’re frustrated because you’re trying to control the outcome by expecting it (or people) to be or act the way you think it should.

Alternative:  Relax and anticipate this or something better will occur. Stop trying to micromanage the world. This opens you to tune into new ideas and directions.

2. You’re beating yourself up with fear, worry, regrets or other limiting thoughts and emotions because of your situation.

Alternative: Release judging you, others and your circumstances. Replace it with an empowering perspective that you’re learning, and all is in divine order and timing.

3. You’re focused on what’s not working.

Alternative: Focus on what you choose and the good feeling mojo it creates. Good feeling mojo is what opens you to manifest more quickly and with grace and ease.

4. You’re pushing to make things happen.

Alternative: Stop resisting (and exhausting yourself about) what is and allow things to be the way they are. You getting fussy about it won’t change it or help. Let go. Let God. Set new goals for what you choose. Then take action from this perspective.

When you shift your energy, you allow life to create miracles and successes beyond your wildest expectations, and the way out appears… even if it starts out with one step at a time.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to re-evaluate one area of your life where you feel you do not have enough time. Look at it from a detached viewpoint of a wise friend and make a change to give yourself the gift of time.

electromagnetic wave

Electromagnetic Wave

“Everything in life is vibration.” – Albert Einstein

In physics, sound is a vibration that transmits as an audible wave of pressure. These vibrations consist of frequencies that are sent, received and interpreted by the brain.

Every part of life, including you, has its own vibration. From plants to colors, every living element emanates a vibration or frequency, which can be measured in units called hertz (Hz). Every thought, disease and illness as well as food has an electro-magnetic frequency, too.

Animals intuitively tune in to frequencies. Once, I took in a stray kitten who wasn’t welcomed by my resident cat, a self-proclaimed queen of my home. After a month of queen cat taunting princess kitty, it became distressingly evident the newcomer had to go.

A neighbor told me about a woman who was looking for a cat. During their introductions, the princess ran away and hid under furniture. When I coaxed her out of hiding and held her, she wiggled out of my arms and bolted. For thirty minutes, the kitty would have nothing to do with this woman. They weren’t a match, and the little one let us know by her actions.

I then created posters with this precious kitty’s picture and hung them in my small town. A paramedic took interest and paid us a visit.

Instead of trying to chase after the kitty, he sat and waited. He was calm and allowed her to get used to his presence and come to him.

She did, and they got along very well. The little princess found her forever home. When I later saw the man at a local store, he told me how the princess became the queen of his household.

Animals sense energy and respond accordingly. Humans sense energy, too.

Then I’d ask, “What’s up?” Otherwise, I’d stay away.

“When there’s nothing there for people, why would they come up to you?”

If you want others to like you more, begin by being aware of the energy you ‘re emanating.

In most people’s lives, there are things that could go better. Maybe you want a better job or improvements in your business or you’re ready for a change of fortune.

Don’t give up on how you feel as if it doesn’t matter. People and the universe are responding to how you feel even if you try to mask it.

How you feel is a key to your success!

Not feeling good is a sign that you’re in opposition to how your essence is guiding you. It’s a clue that your thinking and perspective are off track.

The more you align your energy with your true self, the more success you’ll attract. When you do this, you’ll feel good because your essence sees the big picture, puts your life in perspective, is 100% non-judgmental, knows the best direction to take and never feels bad!

You may find that annoying people will find your positive energy annoying and eventually not stick around, but others will be attracted to you like a magnet.

How do you know if your energy is aligned? Tune in to how you feel. This indicates what energy you’re radiating to others, too.

“If you can give increase of life to others and make them sensible of the fact, they will be attracted to you, and you will get rich.”

“Hold the faith and purpose of increase… in such a way that every person who comes in contact with you… will feel the power of purpose radiating from you; so that everyone will get the sense of advancement and increase from you.”

Christmas Spirit – I Mean A Real Spirit

December 18, 2017

Christmas Ghost

Ever needed help but felt so alone? You’re never alone!

After her beloved father passed a couple of years ago, she was shocked at what happened next. Family members did the unimaginable by creating legal maneuvers over a fortune that left them riding high and her nearly destitute.

They cornered her from every angle she had available so she wasn’t able to stand up to them effectively. She was left feeling angry, frustrated, betrayed, broke and nearly broken by those she trusted.

It looked hopeless with no way out.

Recently, her father appeared to her in a lucid dream. She told me, “It was real; I felt like I was alive and really there in the dream.

“We were looking out at a field of grass and flowers with trees perfectly in a row lining each side. It was beautiful, very colorful and really alive.

“I know we were with other family members.” One in particular is the one whose greed had guided the misdeeds.

With anger that had been common while he was alive physically, he told his wife, “Get it corrected! The will is not be in any one else’s hands!!”

She shared the following with me but with no one else because others might not believe her vivid encounters. As my writing is anonymous, she agreed to let me share this with you.

Her father appears to my client often as if he’s in physical form. Even after writing my draft of this post, she texted that she saw him while she was driving; this time he appeared as a young man.

Seeing him calms me down, and I know he’s with me and correcting the situation.”

Recently, I saw Charles Dickens’ The Christmas Carol where Scrooge had a change of heart because of visitations by Christmas ghosts.

Life works in mysterious ways. Events happen that make the seeming impossible possible. As Scrooge learned, it’s not too late for anyone to change, to Be, to receive, to give, to open to Love.

If you open to receive, you can discover that help is always available and you’re never alone.

Maybe there’s more to the story of The Christmas Carol than just a metaphor.

Einstein said, ““Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.”

So what happens to anyone’s energy when they pass on? Could they be alive but in another form? My client has frequent rendezvous with her father that cause her to believe that there’s more to life than what we think we know.

Think of the possibilities you have available right now if you allow yourself to receive support from intelligence and profound caring from infinite sources.

Think of the impact that could make on any of your problems from money and business to relationships and health.

Over the years, I’ve found if I let go of my limited beliefs and shift instead to be open to receive, miracles happen in my life that defy logical assumptions or solutions I could imagine.

Consider playing a game. Think of an issue you have and then let go of it emotionally. Just for an experiment, let go of worrying, being in fear or trying to control outcomes.

When you let go of being all balled up emotionally, you also let go of resistance to your issues.

You now have created more space for solutions to appear.

While you’re in a more receptive mode (or even if you’re not), ask for help.

According to your beliefs, help may come from your inner wisdom, God, Jesus, loved ones who’ve passed on or a team on the other side who are waiting for you to ask for assistance.

You can open to a calm presence within and situations resolving themselves beyond your wildest imagination.

YOU can be a living example of peace on earth, goodwill to man.

Are Crazy People Taking Over Your Life?

September 18, 2017

Homer's scream

One afternoon, while on Broadway in midtown Manhattan, New York City, I walked a few people behind a man who was having an animated argument with someone. Speaking in a loud voice with gesticulating hands, I wondered who was the recipient of such a tirade.

It was just him battling with himself.

Someone and something really got to this guy, and he allowed it to drive him to act crazy.

Throughout your life, some people have done you wrong, and some may have gotten to you.

In the past (or maybe present), you’ve been:

  • abused, misused, ignored, rejected, undermined, betrayed, robbed, disappointed, manipulated, misunderstood, humiliated, put down or the focal point of someone’s greedy, crazy, unconscious, demeaning, insecure, unfair or malevolent intent.

Often the perpetrators have been those most trusted and least expected to turn on you, such as:

  • close friends, family, significant others, church members, neighbors, co-workers, clients, bosses or business associates.

The results may have left you feeling that you’ve lost:

  • hope, your confidence, your spark of life, your capacity to find joy, your ability to ever succeed again or even care about it, your connection to the universe or your faith in God.

“The most important question you can ever ask is if the world is a friendly place.”  Einstein

It’s a big question to ponder. Your answer determines if you’re going to let the crazies, past and present, or less-than-favorable circumstances get to you, and consequently, impede your ability to be open to the success and enjoyment you richly deserve.

Are you letting undesirable memories occupy your attention so much that you won’t allow yourself to see that the world is a friendly place?

Often we’re attached to how we expect people and things are supposed to be. When they go haywire, our ego/ brain loves to binge watch reruns of movies about our sad stories over and over again.

Instead, change the channel and focus on something in your life that works.

Relitigating your past by vacillating between trying to prove how you’re right and “how dare they” doesn’t help. Have you noticed? You won’t end up feeling better, and feeling good is important as it’s a key to attract success.

Personally, instead of letting go of my faith in life and humanity, I (eventually) learned to have greater discernment.

As Kenny Rogers sang in “The Gambler:”

You’ve got to know when to hold ’em

Know when to fold ’em

Know when to walk away

And know when to run.

Some people in my life who appeared to be helpful, trustworthy, supportive, emotionally healthy, well-meaning and even spiritually awake… I came to realize were toxic.

I could grumble about them incessantly, which I’ve done. I found it more useful, though, to see them as my teachers: learn my lessons, chalk it off to another life experience and move on.

It took me a while to see people for who they are, not for who I thought they were or wanted them to be.

Here’s an interesting twist.

Underneath this crazymaking, there’s a whole lot of disapproval going on.

Sometimes the other person starts it, and we respond back with disapproval and judgment, or vice versa.

When we enmesh ourselves in disapproval energy, we give others the power to control our happiness — from complete strangers whose driving we don’t like to annoying people in our day-to-day lives.

When we expect others to behave or show up in a certain way so we can feel good about ourselves, in essence we’re saying:

You need to change so I don’t have to change. My caring about you is conditional. It’s dependent on you acting the way I think you should. Otherwise, I might feel that I’ve lost control.

When the awareness comes that we alone have control of our attitude, then we don’t need others to be different so we can feel good.

Of course, do what’s wise to take care of yourself, but you get to choose your attitude.

Energy changes when practicing this. The crazies start to evaporate from your life like the morning fog when the sun comes up.

Do you allow others to affect your psyche, your joy of living, your success, your ability to pick yourself up and start again regardless of whoever or whatever happened or is happening to you?

It’s your choice.

With gratitude,

Virginia
