Can What You Think Change Your Life?

June 20, 2022

The Thinker by Auguste Rodin

Your thoughts are powerful! That means if you look around at your life and either like or don’t like what you see, know that you can change it by changing the way you think.

Need inspiration to even consider something that may seem impossible? And why should you go to the bother of changing your thinking because you’re not sure if it will make a difference anyway?

Listen up. You 100% have the ability to look at things differently, change your perspective and therefore think differently about what’s going on in your life.

When you change how you think about things, your feelings about stuff will change, and you’ll act differently. You’ll take different actions. As a result, your experiences and outcomes will change.

It’s way better than suffering unnecessarily, feeling like you’re a victim, enduring constant pain, being cowered by fear, anger or worry, and any other miserable emotion you may feel you’re stuck with and can’t help.

How can you empower yourself and change your everyday life and future?

Consider these quotes from James Allen’s classic book As a Man Thinketh to inspire you to improve YOUR world. Italics are mine.

“All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts.”

“As he thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains.”

“A person is limited only by the thoughts that he chooses.”

“Let a man radically alter his thoughts, and he will be astonished at the rapid transformation it will effect in the material conditions of his life.”

“Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are.

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so shall he be.”

“Thoughts of doubt and fear never accomplished anything, and never can. They always lead to failure.”

Suffering is always the effect of wrong thought in some direction. It is an indication that the individual is out of harmony with himself, with the Law of his being.”

Following are more great quotes, especially for those who’ve ever been chastised for daydreaming by others who perhaps didn’t realize how all great ideas and manifestations start with a dreamer.

Everyone else follows in the shadow of someone’s dream or gets paid by people who had a vision and used their imagination to turn their dreams to reality.

Dream on. Create the life you choose.

  • “The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn; the bird waits in the egg; and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.”
  • The dreamers are the saviors of the world. As the visible world is sustained by the invisible, so men, through all their trials and sins and sordid vocations, are nourished by the beautiful visions of their solitary dreamers. Humanity cannot forget its dreamers; it cannot let their ideals fade and die; it lives in them; it knows them as the realities which it shall one day see and know. Composer, sculptor, painter, poet, prophet, sage, these are the makers of the after-world, the architects of heaven. The world is beautiful because they have lived; without them, laboring humanity would perish. He who cherishes a beautiful vision, a lofty ideal in his heart, will one day realize it. Columbus cherished a vision of another world, and he discovered it; Copernicus fostered the vision of a multiplicity of worlds and a wider universe, and he revealed it; Buddha beheld the vision of a spiritual world of stainless beauty and perfect peace, and he entered into it.”

How I COMPLETELY Missed My Goal

October 29, 2018

mountainIt felt as if I were about to climb a BIG mountain without the gear.

Small things can be easy to manifest, especially those that don’t come with a risk, like finding a convenient parking spot.

A while ago, I bought several boxes of a particular type of supplement on clearance at a supermarket. Recently, I noticed that I’d run out in a couple of days and casually thought that I’d find something to replace them.

It was an easy intention without any emotional fanfare. A few hours later, I found on clearance at the same market several boxes of a similar supplement by the same company. They may even be better than my original ones.

I had another goal. It was a BIG goal with a quick deadline. I felt pressure because it was important that I reach it; there would be consequences if I didn’t. To achieve it felt as if I were about to climb a mountain without the gear.

While other goals related to it manifested easily, I didn’t even scratch the surface of my BIG goal.

This is why.

I put so much monumental importance on it, and I made it such a BIG thing, that I blew the energy to manifest it. To turn a dream into reality requires a light touch. That’s the opposite of what I had. I couldn’t even imagine attaining my goal beyond giving it lip service.

Here’s more of how I completely missed my goal.

  • While I knew I wanted the goal, I had contradictory thoughts that I could achieve it. I made it so BIG in my thoughts that I doubted my ability to manifest it quickly.
  • Emotionally, I didn’t anticipate achieving it.
  • I couldn’t see myself achieving it.
  • When I thought about it, I couldn’t imagine HOW I could accomplish it. (Another big faux pas – let life figure out the how part).
  • While intellectually I knew it was possible, I didn’t believe I would do it.

So I didn’t manifest it.

Even though it looked like a window closed, the experience prompted me to open a door that I’d been slow to approach in the past. I mean, I could’ve opened Door #1 so long ago that the hinges now had become creaky. However, the door opened once I focused my attention on it.

Regardless of how it appeared, this turned into an opportunity that inspired me to change direction. Although I missed one goal, I learned a lot. I’m now better positioned to create positive results from even bigger ones.

I knew what I’d done, and then I read a quote by Abraham-Hicks to clarify even more. Here’s the quote:

“All the resources you will ever want or need are at your fingertips. All you have to do is identify what you want to do with it, and then practice the feeling-place of what it will feel like when that happens. There is nothing you cannot be or do or have. You are blessed Beings; you have come forth into this physical environment to create. There is nothing holding you back, other than your own contradictory thought. And your emotion tells you you’re doing that. Life is supposed to be fun—it is supposed to feel good! You are powerful Creators and right on schedule.

“Savor more; fix less. Laugh more; cry less. Anticipate positively more; anticipate negatively less. Nothing is more important than that you feel good. Just practice that and watch what happens.”

How a Woman Was Asked to Take $15-$20,000

August 27, 2018

Plus 10 quotes from James Allen’s As a Man Thinketh

Money

A client decided to launch a non-profit in her industry. Her first event had around 50 people in attendance.

Ten years later, she has several chapters around the state along with a base of corporate connections.

Last month during her coaching session, we discussed the idea of getting underwriters at $13,000 each annually and how she could put together a brochure to announce this. A professional she considered hiring for this purpose suggested writing a personal letter to each prospective underwriter instead.

She did neither.

However, she mentioned her idea to a corporate leader and then, implementing tools she’s learned during my new Conscious Creators’ Course, she found herself thinking about her underwriters’ program throughout the month.

Do you remember a time when you were lovestruck and thoughts and feelings about the other would linger in the background or completely occupy your attention? That’s how it was for her. Her thoughts would go in and out about the program she was developing, sharing it with others, the difference it would make… and so it went throughout the month.

The day before last Thursday’s coaching session, she and the corporate leader talked again. In fact, they’d been playing phone tag for two weeks before their follow up conversation about becoming an underwriter.

“We want to give you $15,000 to $20,000. Please give us a reason, a justification. You don’t have to send an email, just a text.”

A short text to him after our session containing seed ideas for the program brought an affirmative response along with an appointment scheduled on Monday for follow up.

She approached this on an energy level first before taking action. The result was that money was being thrust on her with no effort on her part.

May you enjoy these quotes from James Allen’s classic book As a Man Thinketh to inspire you to attract results about what you love.

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so shall he be.”

“As he thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains.”

Resurrection

April 17, 2017

resurrect (2)

resurrect
1. to raise from the dead 2. to bring to view, attention, or use again.
(Merriam Webster Dictionary)

A friend is a live-in manager who’s responsible for the people who reside there.

She’s on call 24/7, months on end. With little downtime to revitalize, it’s tiring to say the least.

It appeared that all her clients would be gone for a long, holiday weekend.

However, while we were talking on the phone, she learned that one wouldn’t be leaving after all. To add to her stinging disappointment, her situation worsened as they informed her of an intermittent schedule, on and off daily, over the next few days.

At first discouraged, she decided to change her focus to another direction.

__________________________________________________________________________

She remembered that she’s an excellent manifester. When she makes a choice and places her attention on it with the right attitude, she gets results.

She had forgotten about her ability because she’s been so distracted by her circumstances.

__________________________________________________________________________

Instead of energizing what she didn’t want by feeling bad about it, she started thinking about having the house to herself.

Fifteen minutes later, she called back to tell me her client would leave soon and not return for almost a week.

To make it all the sweeter, and even though she didn’t mention to them their lack of concern for her well-being, she was personally acknowledged. She received recognition and appreciation for the service she gives by going above and beyond for her clients.
__________________________________________________________________________

She redirected her thinking by telling herself this: Tell the truth faster. __________________________________________________________________________

When she told herself the truth instead of reacting to what wasn’t working for her, she became clear and shifted her focus.

__________________________________________________________________________

She didn’t “do” anything except become non-reactive emotionally and mentally.

After she let go of her sad story, she remembered she’s an energy being. She then tapped into this inner source to shape her life.

__________________________________________________________________________

The experience inspired her to resurrect her alignment with her  inner power. From her fatigue, she  had been reacting to others instead of changing her life by changing her focus.

Tell the truth faster.

After looking at options for months which culminated in a few tear-filled  days, a woman had no choice but  to move. A couple of days later, she told me the place had a lot of unpleasant memories attached to it, and she was relieved to be out of there.

Now, she’s resurrecting a new life while looking forward to where her future will take her.

Tell the truth faster.

What’s been bothering you about your life, work or business?

You have a choice.

Complain and be annoyed, frustrated, depressed or angry.

Distracting yourself by regularly  reacting to what you don’t want only keeps you on a hamster wheel of regret and unfulfillment.

Or you can raise yourself up from that deadening energy.

Resurrect your inner power and bring into view your strength and vision.

If you’ve been feeding a habit of focusing on what doesn’t work, you may need practice or support.

Resolved for Results Mastermind Principle #1 says: “I believe there’s an energy created when two or more gather in harmony.”

Being part of a supportive mastermind team can transform your energy as you see your life with fresh perspectives and belief in yourself to create your ideal life, work or business.

Resurrect your dreams. You can turn them or something even better into reality.

You have the ability to design and create your life, work or business to exceed your wildest expectations.

So be it!

With gratitude,
Virginia
