Once upon a time there was a farmer named Sei Weng who had one horse and one son. One day the horse wandered away, and the neighbors commented that this was unfortunate. The farmer replied, “How do you know it’s bad luck?”

Soon after the horse returned bringing several wild mares with him. The neighbors congratulated him on his good luck. Ah, what lovely, strong horses! However, the farmer responded by saying, “How do you know it’s good luck?”

The son was thrown while riding one of the wild horses and broke his leg. His neighbors once again commented on how sorry they were for his bad luck, at which the farmer said, “Good luck, bad luck. Who knows?”

A war came, and every able-bodied man was conscripted into the military and sent into battle. Because he had a broken leg, the old man’s son didn’t have to go to war. The neighbors were excited about his good fortune, but the farmer remarked, “Is it good or is it bad?”

Another version of this Chinese folktale concludes with, “That’s the way it is.”

Another says that fortune turns to misfortune, and misfortune to fortune. There is no end to changes, and the mystery can’t be known.

Because the farmer was emotionally detached and didn’t go along with everyone’s thinking, he was able to see a bigger picture.

According to the Chaos Theory, our lives are always in chaos, and this is what opens us to fresh forms and possibilities.

When we reach what is called a “bi-furcation point,” a “point of departure” takes place, and a “self-organization out of chaos” occurs. In other words, events that serve as turning points create a new order and structure. 

Instead of adversely reacting to circumstances that seem bad, consider they may be a portal to something greater than you currently can imagine.

A messy divorce may be a ticket to personal empowerment and overcoming fear.

The loss or lack of worldly goods may be what cracks the shell to allow humility and what’s truly important to be seen… and the impetus to pursue one’s dreams.

You can choose your perspective. Look deeper. No matter how it appears, things change. The highs become lows or ordinary. Regardless of how frustrated or hopeless aspects of your life may seem, this too shall pass.

Your highs and lows come from judging how you think your life should’ve been in the past or should be in the future. Your now, this moment of time, is perfect just the way it is.

Embrace what is without a drama-filled story attached to it, and all your struggles are over.

Your dreams can come true.

How? The way reveals itself in divine right timing.

Listen to the inner whispers guiding you. Be open to receive. Consider a new point of view because nothing is what it seems, and the best is yet to come. All is in divine order and surpasses your wildest imagination.

Nothing would be what it is.

Because everything would be what it isn’t.

And contrary-wise – what it is, it wouldn’t be.

And what it wouldn’t be, it would.

You see?

Don’t Give Up. This CAN Help!

Think you need to know someone in order to get ahead? This CEO knows everyone and has the best connections.

• This CEO knows you are worthy and deserve receiving positive results in divine right timing… regardless of what you’ve done in the past; how you’ve screwed up; how confused or exhausted you are; how inadequate you feel; how much doubt you feel – even if you’re angry with or don’t believe in a divine source – or how big (or hopeless) your problem seems.
• This CEO invites regular communication and collaboration, so forget about the idea that you don’t want to bother God with the small stuff.

You can worry until the 11^th hour before letting go and asking for supreme assistance. But why wait until life gets out of control when an all-knowing, caring, hands-on CEO is on-call 24/7?

Asking for divine intervention welcomes miracles into your life.

Got Problems? God’s seen them all and already knows the way out of any situation. So why not ask for help? You’ve got nothing to lose by working in conscious partnership with the Divine, and everything to gain.

• Ask and it will be given. That’s called a clue. You have to ask.
• Believe to receive for the most magical results.

• WRITING AND ASKING FOR HELP (instead of only thinking and staying lost in your head) is a HIGHLY EFFECTIVE YET SIMPLE TOOL TO LET GO OF YOUR PROBLEMS AND FEARS.
• The more you believe this can work and are open to receive, the easier answers come.

Say good-bye to worry and challenges. Invite the best CEO to work with you, on your behalf.

Don’t settle for living in silent desperation.

You can live life on your terms, but don’t take my word for it.

Feel Like You Missed the Boat? It Wasn’t Your Boat!

Ever feel that you missed your boat or your ship has already sailed?

Aka, you missed your opportunity. You blew it. Circumstances are stacked against you, and now what? Humpty Dumpty can’t be put together again. Do not pass Go because your life is one big frustration that’s taking a nosedive from a high diving board into a shallow pool.

Forget this mental noise. Dump all these beliefs because they’re so not true.

You can bounce back from wherever you are, only not in the way you may have thought. (That’s a blessing although it may not seem it.) There are other financial opportunities. That wasn’t the only person or deal in the world. You’re not too old or too stupid. You can get out of a hole if you stop digging.

Despite appearances, there are more ships at YOUR port. You’ll see them if you stop looking at the ones that left.

The universe isn’t limited and neither are you! Life isn’t designed for you, your business, your choices, and the loonies to be perfect. Life is designed for you to grow and expand. This is how shiFt happens.

You have countless opportunities!

If your dream “ticket to paradise” was eaten by the dog or you screwed things up so badly that there’s no turning back, different but better opportunities are waiting for you. And you’re all the wiser because of it.

We learn; we move on. Exit stage left the drama king or queen in us who plays the victim as we beat ourselves up or feel sorry for ourselves. Our good takes its bow on center stage as we open and are willing to receive something better.

I’ve relaunched my life so much, often like a phoenix rising from the ashes, that I lost count of the times I rebooted emotionally, financially and physically. I’m sure you’ve had your share, too.

If not for one of the seemingly endless, excructiatingly painful times of my life, I would neither be coaching nor writing you now. A significant crisis was my catalyst for a new direction. I was too beaten down to continue my old ways. During my healing, I discovered how my life experiences, including how to release the pain I was in, groomed me to do well what I do and draw on my history of accomplishments more meaningfully. What gifts did your challenges bring  you?  TIP: You didn’t miss the boat! It wasn’t your boat! The stories you tell yourself about your business and life are what create your feelings of loss, failure, frustration, suffering… or success. To see the bigger picture with a more positive viewpoint, look back to a time when things went to you-know-where in a handbasket. What good came from it? No, don’t think about last week’s mishaps or unresolved issues you haven’t been able to wrap your brain (or heart) around. Look back far enough so you have the benefit of hindsight without the emotional charge. If you’re stuck, instead of tuning into your defiant side, ask the wise part of you for perspective. Learn. Be confident knowing that life is on your side. Good comes out of seeming bad just as fire brings necessary ecological change. Google “benefits of fire” if you doubt this. How has your business or you emerged better for your challenges? What boats did you board instead?

Angry? Frustrated? Here’s What I Wrote to my Client.

Here’s an excerpt of an email I sent a client who’s been experiencing challenges. Recently, I’ve observed people transitioning from the way their life has been to something new and different. That can bring up a variety of feelings, some pleasant and others not so much.   I remember thinking in the early 1990s that my entire life was about frustration. There wasn’t any part of it that worked, from health, finances and career to my marriage. All were falling apart. This perfect storm became the springboard that has shaped the rest of my life of personal discovery and helping people like you.     Change is in the air, welcoming it, liking it, wanting it or not.   For some, it’s an exciting adventure.   For others, a dark cloud hangs overhead.   You, like the rest of us, have had a lifetime of listening to the false guidance of your ego, that façade of an identity. For you, it includes difficult emotions like anger and frustration. These emotions are like software glitches.   Here’s what Wikipedia says about glitches… computer glitches are incorrectly written software, incorrect instructions given by the operator, undetected invalid data, undetected communications errors…   You are not your software.   In contrast, your Essence is prompting you to listen within. This is the part of you that knows “all is well.” Abraham-Hicks said: “Your emotions are your indicator of how your active thought blends, or doesn’t blend, with the thought Source is thinking about the same subject in the same moment.” The inner turmoil you’re experiencing is the conflict between your ego’s perspective and that of the Source within you. Naturally, your ego is taking an all out stand for you to listen to its lies, lies that lead you to feel frustrated, angry and needing to sort things out. To protect itself, it uses a type of logic in which it’s already trained you, indoctrinated into you, so you believe that it’s telling you the truth. It presents its case that leaves you feeling anger and frustration. The logic only works if you see things from its limited and fearful point of view. Habitual thinking creates entrenched neural pathways in the brain. These become your default, your easy “go to” ways you react. These reactions, instead of responses, don’t always serve you. Just because ideas are in your head does NOT make them true! However, you can most assuredly access your true Essence instead, as it is YOU! A key is to differentiate between the whispers of your ego and your Essence. The ego certainly doesn’t want you to be around positive people that shed light on how it manipulates you. This way it has you, back where you can be controlled by the stress and chaos of unsupportive emotions. In defense of the ego, it thinks its protecting you. But these patterns were created from a child’s approach to survival. When presented with adult situations, the peace of your Essence offers greater insight and direction. Ask your Essence to step forward to be heard, and choose to listen to its guidance. An Eclipse, Hurricane Harvey & a Bigger Design

Nature has her way of clearing energy, including that which hibernates unseen for centuries from wars and negativity. Wind and water through floods and rains are some methods she uses to purify as well as encourage people to make changes.

It’s been described to me this way. The planet is a living organism, and nature is like a farmer rotating her crops. There are times we must look for a different place to grow, higher ground.

Speaking of energy, the power of supportive thoughts and prayers makes a difference.

It’s a good time to take a moment now to send positive energy.

In one week, we’ve seen changes from a total eclipse to Hurricane Harvey.

At the beginning of the week, people’s differences evaporated as they came together during a total eclipse.

Days later, differences cease to exist once more as people risk their lives to help friends and total strangers in the worse disaster Texas has seen.

For every experience, however calamitous, there’s always a silver lining. 

While living in New York City, I wondered what could cause people there to shift their attitudes and come together. When 9/11 came along, I got my answer. As we witnessed the worst of humanity, we also saw its best as the world pulled together in support.

Amidst the shock and devastation caused by Harvey, we see courage, selflessness, kindness, caring, respect, compassion, love and people helping people. Humanity at its best.

It often takes things to get really bad before we refocus on what’s real and truly important.

Through crises, we role model to ourselves behaviors that we can continue to choose on a daily basis.

Opinionated soap boxes and self-serving, judgmental attitudes seem petty. Past worries become small.

You’ve experienced challenges; some were life-changing.

Maybe your material things got shuffled around, and life didn’t turn out the way you expected (if that’s even possible for anyone). Your struggles stretched you to the max. The mirror of how you saw yourself was shattered.

The master gardener of life tilled your fields making room for different crops. Better crops.

Look at a current challenge in your business or life.

Step back and put things in perspective. Maybe you have to take so many steps back to get a better view that you feel like you’re falling off a cliff.

If you let go of your preconceived ideas, can you see a bigger design?

You’re learning something. Dodged a bullet you didn’t know was coming. Made changes you prayed for but didn’t know how to make. You grew.

Use your experiences as a course correct for your business, work and life instead of letting them beat you down.

To see a more immense picture, realize that you’re on a rock orbiting a star called our sun that’s 93 million miles away while spinning at nearly 1000 miles an hour. 

By doing so, you can feel something more vast than everyday life as well as your place in the universe.

Put on your energetic, eclipse glasses, see the sun and be open to receive inspired “soulutions.”

IF IT DOESN’T WORK ONE WAY, IT CAN ANOTHER

Miracles happen even when horsin' around

 Feeling stuck or frustrated because you can’t figure out how to make something work?Maybe you got discouraged because you can’t imagine how to solve a problem or achieve your goals. This doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Solutions beyond your wildest expectations can happen.

 Enjoy how one woman miraculously achieved her goals in a seemingly impossible situation by horsin’ around.  

I was very interested in becoming a dealer for a new manufacturer and adding their horse trailers to my product line. 

 After many interactions with the owner’s son, I felt that I really wanted to pursue it. He presented me with an attractive commission structure if I bought three trailers at a time, but not worth it if I bought less because of the high shipping costs. Regardless, I didn’t see any way I could make this pricey investment.

 Nevertheless, I still wanted to see them in person. There would be models on view in Lexington, Kentucky.

 I told Virginia I was thinking about going, but I didn’t see any way possible that I could make it work even if I decided to be a dealer. She said, “Don’t think about it as just one way. There are infinite possibilities here!”

 I was supposed to go to a horse clinic in Dallas on the only weekend that I could go to Kentucky. So, I thought, it’s not meant to be. Next thing I know, the clinic in Dallas was CANCELLED. The clinician cancelled her whole US tour!  

 So, I thought, ok. I’ll go if I can find a reasonable flight. Well, I got one, and the new trailer folks even picked me up at the airport. I got to the show, saw the trailers and loved them. Then, while sitting in their tent, I heard the owner’s son say, “She’s right over here!” 

 A nice couple showed up to look at his trailers. They told the son right off that they saw my website and decided to buy the trailers that I’d been selling in Austin from ME, even though they live in Tennessee!  That’s when he took them over to meet me.  

 Next, they asked me to discuss the differences between the two trailers. By then I knew quite a lot about his trailers and was able to do a really nice job of it, so much so that the wife thought she might want to buy his! At this point, I’m wondering if I really shot myself in the foot. 

 The son wrote up the order for them to see what the cost would be and hands me one of the copies since, he said, it’s MY deal. They laughed and asked me, “Are you going to be a dealer?” I said, “Well, it sure looks like it!” But, they decided not to buy on the spot and give it some thought. 

 In the meantime, a couple I know  drove all the way from Austin to Lexington for the games.  I had asked them to check out the new trailers for me (when I thought I couldn’t go), and they emailed me that they liked them. They would even bring one back and tow it for me, if I wanted.

 Through an amazing sequence of events, the son allowed me to take the trailer that the Tennessee couple were interested in (a $19,000 trailer, mind you) and let the Austin couple tow it all the way back for me!   

 They got it here in time for me to take both style trailers to a big show where each received lots of attention.

 Success Kept Coming

 Now, the Tennessee couple and I began to email. We solidified the differences, advantages and disadvantages of the two trailers.

 But, guess what? They not only ORDERED the trailer they saw in Kentucky. The owner’s son delivered it to them in Tennessee! I received a hefty commission on THAT trailer, AND I got to keep my beautiful demo trailer for future sales.

 How amazing is all of this?  It’s like you said, it doesn’t have to be ONE WAY. It can be so many ways…  I now have a trailer in my possession to SHOW PEOPLE and on top of all of that, the son told me to USE IT so people can see it wherever I go. I have an amazingly gorgeous new trailer for my own use that I haven’t had to PAY FOR.

 Ain’t life grand?   😉

Not long after, the manufacturer of the original trailers she’d been selling went out of business! If she hadn’t become a dealer, she could have been left with no trailers to sell – and they are an essential part of her business.

 Some of her miracles are that she:

• Became a dealer
• Didn’t have a financial outlay
• Didn’t have high shipping costs eating her profits, even though she only sold one
• Received a brand new $19,000 trailer for personal use
• Didn’t have to transport the trailers personally to Tennessee or Texas
• Became a dealer before she knew she’d need it because the other business closed.

 Where can you open up to receive miracles in your life? Relax and allow the support. Miracles are waiting for you to invite them in. They appear in divine right timing when you:

• Breathe and relax
• Set an intention
• Listen to and take action on your inner nudges
• Open to receive miracles.

 No matter your situation, you are loved and cared for beyond what you can conceive. You’re not alone. There’s always a way out. Be open to infinite possibilities.

• Written meetings help to create greater clarity and overcome fear.
• Write on your computer, paper you’ll later shred or burn, or in your journal. If your focus is emotional, hand-written communication is far more effective.
• Good grammar, spelling and handwriting don’t matter.

Any way you choose to communicate works. However, I’ll share ways I’ve had CEO meetings.

1. Initially, my board meetings began with an overview of my current status: what’s working in my business and life; what I’ve done.
2. Next, I pinpointed where I chose to have help and asked for it.
3. Now, I write whatever comes to me: my feelings; questions; what (or who) is bugging me; or pour my heart out.
4. Sometimes I make checklists of what I’m asking for or just brainstorm ideas.
5. Brief requests are effective. “Dear God, Help! So be it.” Or simply, “Help.”
6. These words work: “I surrender this…” “I choose to…” “I’m open to receive…” “I ask for this or something better.”
7. I give thanks. Gratitude is easy when you see problems miraculously disappear.

This technique works so well that it’s habit forming… and what a good habit to have.

The more you believe this can work and are open to receive, the easier results come.
