Dearest Friend,
Over the last few days I enjoyed hours online looking for a heartfelt greeting for you.
You might have received a clip from the movie “A Wonderful Life” with Jimmy Stuart.
This could be coupled with one of countless videos with bells ringing representing you, my angel. “Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.”
The funny Santa animated video by Riversong carried a message to stay focused on your goals (for Santa, it was his Christmas cookies) and don’t give up.
Charlie Brown Christmas videos starting from the 1960’s, ancient Christmas greetings, flash mobs in malls and city streets around the world, and magnificent music.
For many months I saved this photo to share with you now at Christmas because it brings back early memories of an evening snow fall I watched from my bedroom window in upstate New York. I named it “Peaceful – A Quiet Hush.”
Then as the time came to make a decision, an idea popped in to search for Christmas Peace Poems. Not having a television, I wasn’t familiar with what I found. Maybe you have because Amazing Peace: A Christmas Poem is now a bestseller, and the following clip was taken from Maya Angleou being interviewed and reciting a portion of her poem a few days ago on the Today show.
We, Angels and Mortal’s, Believers and Non-Believers,
Look heavenward and speak the word aloud.
Peace. We look at our world and speak the word aloud.
Peace. We look at each other, then into ourselves
And we say without shyness or apology or hesitation.
Peace, My Brother.
Peace, My Sister.
Peace, My Soul.

I wish you a blessed holiday season. May you celebrate peace and joy in your heart.
With gratitude,
