Want People to Like You More?

Electromagnetic Wave

“Everything in life is vibration.”

Albert Einstein

I reconnected with an old friend who told me he had been in a funk for quite a while because of events that caused him to question himself.

This led to a discussion about how our energy attracts people and circumstances and how gratitude can shift the way we feel.

A couple of months later, he told me this:

“When I’m positive, I’m like a magnet, and more people want to talk with me. When I was in a funk and not smiling, people avoided me.

“I went to a conference where I was overflowing with good energy and made new friends.

“It’s interesting how it works. This positivity thing is attractive to others. It makes sense because I wouldn’t want to talk to someone who’s sitting in a corner and scowling, unless it was a friend. Then I’d ask, ‘What’s up?’ Otherwise, I’d stay away.

“When there’s nothing there for people, why would they come up to you?”

If you want others to like you more, begin by being aware of the energy you‘re emanating.

In most people’s lives, there are things that could go better. Maybe you want a better job or improvements in your business or you’re ready for a change of fortune or you’d like to enjoy life more.

It may be too big of a leap to go from funk to feeling good, but you can do it in increments by focusing on simple things.

Feel good because you have a roof over your head or can read, and build from there. What you take for granted would be a profound blessing for many.

Start to feel good by making peace with your current circumstances, and watch how your life begins to change for the better.

You may find that annoying people will find your positive energy annoying and eventually not stick around, but others will be attracted to you like a magnet.

How do you know what energy you’re emanating? Tune in to how you feel.

Not feeling good is a sign that you’re in opposition to how your inner Essence is guiding you. It’s a clue that your thinking and perspective are off track.

How can you change it?

“Hold the faith and purpose of increase… in such a way that every person who comes in contact with you… will feel the power of purpose radiating from you; so that everyone will get the sense of advancement and increase from you.”

Confused About What to Do?

March 7, 2022

Once I had a dream where I was in a room with no windows or doors and seemingly no way out.  I searched the walls for a way to leave, but there wasn’t any.

Then I discovered that there was a stairway in the middle of the room that took me to a higher level, and that room was filled with lots of windows, doors and light.

Albert Einstein is paraphrased to have said:

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”

Feeling stuck is an emotional response that can leave you feeling there’s no way out. Instead, you can find a way to untangle yourself from whatever has gotten you balled up and take productive action.

Here are four pointers that can help:

1. You’re frustrated because you’re trying to control the outcome by expecting it (or people) to be or act the way you think it should.

Alternative:  Relax and anticipate this or something better will occur. Stop trying to micromanage the world. This opens you to tune into new ideas and directions.

2. You’re beating yourself up with fear, worry, regrets or other limiting thoughts and emotions because of your situation.

Alternative: Let go of judging yourself, others and your circumstances. Replace it with an empowering perspective that you’re learning, and all is in divine order and timing.

3. You’re focused on what’s not working.

Alternative: Focus on what you choose and the good feeling mojo it creates. Good feeling mojo is what opens you to manifest more quickly and with grace and ease.

4. You’re pushing to make things happen.

Alternative: Stop resisting (and exhausting yourself about) what is and allow things to be the way they are. You getting fussy about it won’t change it or help. Let go. Let God. Set new goals for what you choose. Then take action from this perspective.

There’s a part of you that doesn’t have a clue about what to do. Another part knows!! You have the ability to stop listening to your confusion or asking others what you should do.

Instead, find your answers within.

How? Start to believe in yourself a little bit more. Ask the part of you that knows the answer (it’s there even if you’re oblivious to it) and write about your situation from that perspective. Even if it feels silly or make-believe when you begin.

Journal with an intention to gain clarity; you might surprise yourself with insights.  Give yourself permission to receive answers.

When you shift your perspective, you allow life to create miracles and successes beyond your wildest expectations, and the way out appears… often only one step at a time. Even if the next step is to pause, quiet your thoughts, and just BE.

The BEST New Year’s Resolution

December 28, 2020

When I was a little girl, I asked my mother what should I be. I wanted her answer to be about my future profession, like a butcher, a baker or candlestick maker.

She always replied that she wanted me to be happy, which seemed at the time a lame response.

The older I get and the more I know about life, though, I realize what a wise answer it was.

Why being happy matters

As like attracts like, the more we’re happy, the more happy experiences we’ll attract.

Feeling good allows us not only to achieve our goals but to create a better life.

We can be rich, powerful, famous and living the dream, but if we’re not happy, well, life isn’t much fun. Living in stress, worry, fear, sadness or struggle can destroy our physical, financial, mental and emotional health and well-being.

Happiness doesn’t come because we have everything we want; we won’t enjoy them and may find that they slip away if we don’t feel good.

Stress, anxiety and worry are only habits that don’t serve you or anyone else.

Feeling afraid because of lack of money, love or health won’t change when you have everything money can and can’t buy. If these ways of thinking are habitual, you’d find something to get you bent out of shape.

Ever notice people (maybe you) who always have a reason to complain or feel bad? Even when things are great, they find something that’s not good enough.

Be happy. Find a silver lining no matter what.

You might be thinking that I don’t understand. You’ve got a lot of problems. You’ve been done wrong. You’ve experienced loss, and you’re afraid the proverbial other shoe might fall. You’ve been living in pain. You’ve had terrible things happen to you.

I really do get it because when everything in my life was falling apart, I knew I’d lose it all if I stepped onto the slippery slope of fear. My negativity would have made things go from bad to worse.

So I made a decision to feel good. To feel good in spite of it all.

Step at a time, sometimes baby steps, my life got better and better and better.

The BEST New Year’s resolution is to resolve to feel good. With this decision all things or something better are possible. It really is a choice.

You have complete control over your perspective, regardless of the situation. Your interpretation of events, your life, your success or manifesting your dreams is your key to the door of happiness, misery or getting what you most want.

Your energy will draw to you more of how you feel.

How in the world can you feel good in spite of the odds? Be grateful.

A client gifted me a handmade journal with an embroidered peacock on the cover that she bought in one of my favorite museums. It’s so beautiful that I decided I only wanted beautiful words in it. Another client on her team suggested a journaling exercise that makes her feel good.

Write what’s working in your life.

Soon after, on a day when everything was uncharacteristically out-of-synch, I couldn’t leave town to go to a party for me! Instead of having a hissy fit, I grabbed my new journal and wrote on the entire first page the many things that are going well.

Focusing on gratitude shifted my energy, allowed me to let go of the stress and be in present time. Of course, the change in plans turned out to be way better.

HAPPY New Year to you.

Hint: the clue is in the greeting. The first word is HAPPY.

The BEST New Year’s resolution is to feel good and be happy.

You can use feeling good as your inner GPS to know if you’re on the right track or not. It may be that the only thing needed for you to be happy is an attitude adjustment.

Also, how you feel can be an indicator that you’re on the right path or heading in a direction that no longer serves you or maybe never did.

If you decide a change is needed, feel good about where you are, even if you don’t like it. Then line up your energy by feeling good about your new direction and take actions for something better.

Happy New Year! It’s your choice to parrot the words or make them come true for you!

May you enjoy your happiest year ever!

Gratitude Creates Good Feeling Mojo…plus great quotes from Willie Nelson to Buddha

November 23, 2020

Whatever you focus on grows. So that you don’t blow to smithereens your good feeling mojo, let’s start where the land mines are buried.

If good feeling mojo was your lover, would the following inspire your sweetheart to run to you with gifts of money, love and health or get blasted back to an undesirable past?

  • Fussing up because people are idiots, things are complicated and your career or business deals aren’t working… again.
  • Wanting money but complaining that the system is rigged so it’s hard to get.
  • Can’t figure out why God has broken His promise to you because of what’s happened.
  • Feeling worried until you get the next doctor’s report.
  • Thinking repeatedly about how someone has done you wrong.
  • Looking for satisfaction while blaming, complaining or things being infuriating.

Money, love and health aren’t found on the pity pot vibe. (Oh, and I’ve unsuccessfully tried so hard to be saved from mine.)

Misery loves company. Regardless of what you say you want, if you’re sending silent messages of struggle, suffering and sadness, your energy would bring you more of the same… more of what you feel but don’t want.

If your business or life mirror a Looney Tunes episode, don’t look for the bogey man. Instead, start with good feeling mojo every day.

You can change how you feel by changing your perspective.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
Oprah Winfrey

Once, when my life had fallen apart, I couldn’t feel grateful about anything.
I was separated, depressed, and in no mood to focus on business.

Gratitude. Interesting concept. The end.

However, I heard a story about someone who went through hard times, and being grateful was her magic key. She climbed out of the hole she was in, got a great job, new friends and turned her life completely around.

Hmmm, okay. I decided to give it a try with no clue of where to begin.

Suddenly, lost in thought about “woe is me” while walking through a greenbelt at dusk, I snapped out of my trance.

Stories from the news popped in my head about snipers on roof tops in a war torn country. They killed people who had to run across an open space to get water.

But I had zero concern about my physical safety. I had basic needs. Water. No bullets or bombs threatened me. Roof over my head. AC when it’s hot and heat when it’s cold. I was alive. There was so much to appreciate, however I didn’t see it because I was looking in the wrong direction.

I woke up to gratitude and the blessings of how people were there for me. Even though much wasn’t working, a lot was. So I redirected my focus to where I could find gratitude. I began to feel better. As I did, my life got better, too.

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.”
Willie Nelson

If you’re looking for an abundance of business, money, love, support or health,
focusing on what’s working will bring you more of what’s working.

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
Eckhart Tolle

TIP: Gratitude Creates Good Feeling Mojo

Especially  during this time of giving thanks, take time to reflect on what you’re grateful for. The more you’re grateful, the more good feeling mojo you create. The more good feeling mojo you have, the more success you experience.

“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.”
Buddha

electromagnetic wave

Electromagnetic Wave

“Everything in life is vibration.” – Albert Einstein

In physics, sound is a vibration that transmits as an audible wave of pressure. These vibrations consist of frequencies that are sent, received and interpreted by the brain.

Every part of life, including you, has its own vibration. From plants to colors, every living element emanates a vibration or frequency, which can be measured in units called hertz (Hz). Every thought, disease and illness as well as food has an electro-magnetic frequency, too.

Animals intuitively tune in to frequencies. Once, I took in a stray kitten who wasn’t welcomed by my resident cat, a self-proclaimed queen of my home. After a month of queen cat taunting princess kitty, it became distressingly evident the newcomer had to go.

A neighbor told me about a woman who was looking for a cat. During their introductions, the princess ran away and hid under furniture. When I coaxed her out of hiding and held her, she wiggled out of my arms and bolted. For thirty minutes, the kitty would have nothing to do with this woman. They weren’t a match, and the little one let us know by her actions.

I then created posters with this precious kitty’s picture and hung them in my small town. A paramedic took interest and paid us a visit.

Instead of trying to chase after the kitty, he sat and waited. He was calm and allowed her to get used to his presence and come to him.

She did, and they got along very well. The little princess found her forever home. When I later saw the man at a local store, he told me how the princess became the queen of his household.

Animals sense energy and respond accordingly. Humans sense energy, too.

Then I’d ask, “What’s up?” Otherwise, I’d stay away.

“When there’s nothing there for people, why would they come up to you?”

If you want others to like you more, begin by being aware of the energy you ‘re emanating.

In most people’s lives, there are things that could go better. Maybe you want a better job or improvements in your business or you’re ready for a change of fortune.

Don’t give up on how you feel as if it doesn’t matter. People and the universe are responding to how you feel even if you try to mask it.

How you feel is a key to your success!

Not feeling good is a sign that you’re in opposition to how your essence is guiding you. It’s a clue that your thinking and perspective are off track.

The more you align your energy with your true self, the more success you’ll attract. When you do this, you’ll feel good because your essence sees the big picture, puts your life in perspective, is 100% non-judgmental, knows the best direction to take and never feels bad!

You may find that annoying people will find your positive energy annoying and eventually not stick around, but others will be attracted to you like a magnet.

How do you know if your energy is aligned? Tune in to how you feel. This indicates what energy you’re radiating to others, too.

“If you can give increase of life to others and make them sensible of the fact, they will be attracted to you, and you will get rich.”

“Hold the faith and purpose of increase… in such a way that every person who comes in contact with you… will feel the power of purpose radiating from you; so that everyone will get the sense of advancement and increase from you.”

Yes, There Is a Santa Claus

December 23, 2017

virginia-o-hanlon-letter-to-francis-church

Virginia O’Hanlon, at age eight, wrote a letter to the editor of New York’s Sun, and a quick reply was printed as an editorial on Sept. 21, 1897. Even though the paper’s response was anonymously printed, newsman Francis Pharcellus Church’s ultimate feel-good writing has since become history’s most reprinted newspaper editorial, appearing in part or whole, in dozens of languages, in books, movies, other editorials, and on posters and stamps.

Of all people to receive this editorial assignment was a sardonic Columbia College graduate and veteran writer at The Sun, a popular daily known for its lively writing and human interest stories.

Francis Church was also a war correspondent during the American Civil War. Because of the human suffering and loss he witnessed, he had lost his personal sense of faith and hope.

Church’s personal motto was ”Endeavor to clear your mind of cant” and reportedly ”bristled and pooh-poohed” when his editor asked him to reply to Virginia’s letter. However, Francis Church produced a masterpiece Christmas classic– under deadline and in less than 500 words.

THE EDITORIAL

DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old.
Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.
Papa says, ‘If you see it in THE SUN it’s so.’
Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?

VIRGINIA O’HANLON.
115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET.

VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men’s or children’s, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that’s no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You may tear apart the baby’s rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

T
his is Virginia saying I do believe in Santa Claus. Do you?

With the magic of the season,

Virginia

Are You Having Fun Yet?

June 26, 2017

I was fortunate. I didn’t lose my home or life from floods that caused FEMA to take residence in my town for several months a couple of years ago. However, months of dealing with mold in my house and body took a heavy toll on my health and finances.

Even though three vets told me there was nothing to do for my sick cat, and one suggested I put her to sleep, she decided she wasn’t ready to go and stayed with me for two more years. This translated to round-the-clock caretaking that exhausted me.

After all that passed, including my precious companion, I knew it was essential to go out and participate in life again.

Otherwise, my focus would’ve been stuck on the adversities of my past. As like attracts like, it would’ve put me on a downward spiral to the “same ole, same (challenging) ole.”

A road trip beckoned that awakened me to enjoy life. Since then, I’ve been finding ways to have fun and laugh – from an entertaining drag show to an airboat ride on the Colorado River to a free Bollywood dance class on the same stage that the ballet uses. For months, every week I saw new-to-me performances, including music from around the world to The Temptations and Four Tops.

Additionally, there were art museums, plays, ziplining, hiking at state parks, restaurants, massages and a sake tour.

There are magnets on my fridge holding ticket stubs and flyers from the many programs I attended, reminding me to continue to play.

By the way, thanks to online deals from companies like Groupon, LivingSocial and Travelzoo, fun things to do can be found super cheap. Many museums have a day or weekend every month where you can go for free, and some concert halls offer 2 for 1 specials.

In the process of getting out, I rested, had fun, got my mojo back and felt like I was living again. My business grew, too.

When I decided it was time to settle down and get back to work, and didn’t go out for a few weeks, my business and income slowed down, too!

I remember the exact instance, before I started to play, when this thought came to me:  If I died and went to the other side, what would I say I’d done for myself?

My answer was: I almost got caught up. So many things on my To Do list were getting done, but there was so much left to do. And, yes, I’ve helped a lot of people and have accomplishments.

But what about me?

What would you say about how you’ve had fun and taken care of yourself?

I’ve recognized that when I don’t take time to play, the inflow and outflow of life energy becomes out of balance.

It reminds me of Mastermind Principle #6 from my course Resolved for Results:  I believe I am worthy and deserve to achieve my goals or something better, and I choose to use my personal empowerment on my behalf, which allows me to serve life more fully.

What’s your legacy beyond family, work, accomplishments and making money?

Are you having fun yet?

Life is designed to be satisfying. If it’s not, it’s time to change your perspective, and do something different.

The weird thing is that when we break free from primarily focusing on the dutiful acts that we have to do, and include time to play, our lives, business and work improve.

Old age is no longer another notch on the yearly calendar. Age is a state of mind. A way of being.

Look at life as energy and vibration. When you raise your energy by having fun, you’re on the wavelength to attract longevity, more money, better clients, relationships and health.

If you haven’t already, you now can give yourself permission to play, have fun and enjoy the rich variety that the world has to offer.

Before, I didn’t even know what it meant to play.

Where to start? Find one activity that looks interesting and do it.

Have you ever been not that hungry? Then after a eating few bites, you realized you couldn’t stop. Playing and fun can be like that, too.

By creating more fun, as well as sharing it, you might even spark romance!

Are you ready to make this lifetime count beyond work, duties and survival? Go have fun!

With playful gratitude,

Virginia

I Got Miffed When My Coach Did This to Me

April 4, 2017

During a year-long, business training, we were given one, 30-minute, private coaching session per month. I skipped some months so I could invest in  extended, one-hour sessions.

The short sessions felt like a race. But, ahhh, finally I’d be able to really explore some topics in depth.

My coach had a different idea that day. Not only was she was on a roll  about subjects she wanted to communicate, but they were off-track for me.

I was blind-sided. Annoyed. I felt like an irritated cat who observed but was silent.

I couldn’t think of a way to derail her  without being rude, even though she was taking away time from my agenda, and I didn’t care about what she was saying. I was left a bit flabbergasted and without words to express myself. (Yeah, I know, weird for me.)

This bugged me so much that later I discussed it with another coach. I wasn’t placing blame on my biz coach, but I wondered why I was bothered. Why couldn’t I turn the session into what I wanted instead of just responding to her direction? ________________________________

The root of my miffedness? I was so focused on trying to be nice to her that I wasn’t nice to ME! I put her feelings above mine.

It was a huge lesson. Don’t  allow other people’s feelings and opinions to have more value than my own.

________________________________

By the way, later when I listened to the recording of our session, what she said wasn’t as bad as I thought. I really needed to hear her in a skewed way to get this lesson!

Recently, I facilitated a coaching session with a masterminder who’s successful, positive and very aware that whatever she focuses on multiplies.

When it seemed impossible to achieve her numbers by the next day to get a bonus, a new client appeared out-of-the-blue. She always wins door prizes. After a break-up from a long-term relationship, a chance meeting landed her an invite to spend the next week at a condo on the coast with wonderful and supportive women – for free!

________________________________

She’s learned the power of masterminding: how to choose what she wants and, with the dynamic of group energy, manifest beyond her wildest expectations. Not only is she  aware of the power of her focused attention, she’s living proof that her thoughts and feelings become reality.

However, there are people in her personal life who see things differently – they believe in a lack philosophy

________________________________

The cup is half full. No sense in making plans because they never work. They complain about how there’s not enough money.

When they expressed their negative views and even dismissed her approach, she politely didn’t say anything. Everybody has a right to their opinion.

Then she woke up, and it felt like a weight was lifted from her when she heard this:

________________________________

Your outer world is shaped by your thoughts and feelings. If you allow others to surround you with their negative energy, it can affect the way you feel. In doing so, you’ve given them power to create YOUR world – for better or worse.

Care about the way you feel. Make feeling good a priority if you care about your business, health, life and ability to prosper.

________________________________

Why let strangers in a car who drive in some loopy way bother you and affect your mood, which can affect your day.. because this can affect your wallet and ability to create the life you choose?

Why allow your energy, the way you feel, to be infused by limiting views on the way life works because you’re trying to be nice or afraid to speak up?

Sounds good, but how?

Sure to bomb: “My well being is a  key to my success. So you need to shut up so I can feel good.”

Delicious in the moment, but that won’t bring you positive results.

Effective: Opt to express yourself with grace and ease.

________________________________

Creatively communicate without making the other person wrong.

How can you take a stand for yourself while being kind? You’re worth it.

________________________________

Yes, play it smart, too. Your boss, friends or family may require a lot of creativity.

I pondered how to inform a health practitioner to stop his limited thinking about the results I could get.

I found a creative way, but that’s another story.

With gratitude,
Virginia

Let’s cut to the chase.

Regardless if you wrote New Year’s resolutions or goals for this year, you know one thing. Parts of your life work and others not so much.

You probably grumble about what you don’t like, either a little or you’re running a full-length movie.

Why do you feel this way? Because you don’t feel good that some things are the way they are.

I know this is simple. However, it provides a BIG clue to what you want more than anything.

First, let’s look at some basics you might enjoy improving:

  • Better health – You’re so done with those niggly or essential health issues and emotional stresses that you’ve been tolerating.
  • Higher quality relationships – Enough with people who are your fill-in-the-blank pet peeve. Bring on the love.
  • Increased financial success – You’re tired of the worry or limitations from not having the cha-ching to enjoy whatever you choose in life. Or you’re afraid of losing what you have.
  • Fulfilling career/ business/ doing what you love – It’s high time for your creativity to shine more brightly and for you to revel in what you do – or discover what that is.
  • Positive growth in all ways – Physical, emotional, mental, spiritual: you’re ready to bring out more of the best of you.

What will having these do for you?

You’ll feel good. You’ll feel happy. You’ll feel that life is worth living.

Everything you desire is because, underneath, you believe it will bring you what you want more than anything.

Happiness.

This is good feeling mojo, and it impacts your attitude and creates momentum to enjoy life.

By identifying what creates happiness for you, and using this as your personal GPS, you’ll discover fulfillment and success.

Yes, we’re still focusing on simple, but look what often happens.

People put up with others and situations that could be changed by redirecting their attention with a dose of clarity, confidence and courage.

Mulling over unhappy stories of the way things are, aka excuses and erroneous beliefs, keeps us unhappy … until circumstances snap us out of our fixed thinking, the burden of pain becomes too great or we make a conscious choice to do what it takes to let go and change.

A woman wasn’t happy with her job, but for fifteen years she believed this is what social work is like everywhere.

Circumstances changed, and she found an identical job in another office that she loved. Her beliefs about work weren’t true, and the limiting story she told herself kept her stuck.

For years, an unhappy husband held himself back from enjoying life because of his sick wife. He patiently waited for her to die. She outlived him by ten years.

Many have a high tolerance for pain and put up with things waaay too long.

What makes you feel unhappy? Your spirit is giving you a clue. Do something differently.

You may have to walk through your fear or sacred cow beliefs to do it.

It’s of little importance if you don’t know the big picture of where you’re going or you don’t know how to do whatever. Age, your past history, your health, your degree of stuckness or frustration or confusion do NOT matter!

Start with baby steps toward what makes you feel good, and they’ll lead you to what you need.

In my late twenties, while in a toxic situation that shattered my health and felt like a five-year prison sentence, I had a dream with a message. I didn’t understand it at the time, but I wrote it on scrap paper and put it on my dresser.

Find your heart and rescue it.

In my early forties, I cried miserably as I walked alone in my neighborhood at night because none of the above mentioned “basics” were working for me. (By the way, that was my turning point to start coaching.)

You can turn anything around to your benefit, and use this present moment as your springboard to create more joy.

Be patient with yourself.

One day, your life will flash before your eyes. Create a movie you’ll enjoy seeing because you’re happy.

I work with people who choose to share their gifts or business in a BIGGER way but don’t know how, feel stuck or would benefit from new tools or support. I help them ignite their Soul’s goals and be richly compensated doing what they love.

TIP: Going in 2 Directions Takes You Nowhere

December 13, 2016

Arms outstretched with people gently pulling from either side, participants of my Supercharge Your 2017 workshop this weekend felt what it’s like to go in opposite directions.

The results: they swayed a bit to the left and right, but stayed in the same position, going nowhere.

Your contradictory thoughts can keep you stuck, a part of you wants to go forward while another holds you back.

For example:

You choose success, but there are those pesky, opposing thoughts.

  • You worry about things, like what if you don’t succeed. Remember how things didn’t work out before and how disappointed you felt? Maybe people who pointed out your limitations were right. And who are you to make more money than your parents?
  • Better play it safe. Save yourself from discouragement. You long for better, but your thoughts keep you where you are.

You choose to be in a relationship, but…

  • Oh, get real. They start out great, and then they’re more trouble than they’re worth. Look at your history. However, you feel desperate for a loving partner. But if you haven’t found “the one” by now, it’s too late. They probably won’t like the way you look, anyway.
  • Even if you meet Mr. or Ms. Right, it might not go anywhere with attitudes like these or the relationship you’re in remains unsatisfying.

When your energy goes in opposite directions:

  1. You feel discouraged, and your confidence wanes. Then you don’t have what it takes to share your gifts or business in a bigger way.
  2. Your energy is like Pigpen from the Charlie Brown comics, who’s pictured above. Your doubt and low self-opinion swirl around you. People can feel it, which motivates them to run in the other direction.

Your TIP is to focus on one direction by believing in yourself, your dreams, your goals.

On average, people only access 10% of who they are. That’s the personality seen in everyday life that’s filled with doubts and negativity.

Choose to tap into the rest of you, the 90% that’s your inner Self, and you’re unlimited!

Ask, right now, for 100% of you to be present, and your life begins to get on track to be happier, more focused, single-minded, Soul-directed.

It takes practice, especially if you’re in the habit of complaining about others, your past or current conditions. But you can align more and more with your inner Self.

With empowered energy, you can go where you choose or someplace better.
